Most of you have no idea that the F 35 fighter was actually a brilliant conception, in it was one fighter in 3 modes. It replaced the F 15, the F 18, A 10 and Harrier Jump Jet for the Marines. How they did this was they built a massive titanium ring, which was drilled out and different fighter parts were bolted in. The Jump Jet had a huge fan, powered off the one massive engine, instead of swiveling a nozzle on the end of the jet engine to created vertical thrust to hover.
It was a beautiful jet at Lockheed Martin which had edged out a rather dumpy looking Boeing design, which had problems in the engines backfiring when landing in hover mode.
The Stallion seemed to be the perfect war machine, and then Barack Hussein Obama came along, and suddenly this jet started having massive problems in electronics to engine which continue to this day.
The head of the Air Force called it a sports car, and you do not drive a sports car every day to work. The problem is for this most expensive jet is the Head Flag was saying the Air Force needed a new less expensive jet.......the problem is the F 35 was designed to be that jet, and the F 22 Raptor was to be the expensive jet, now the 35 is the most expensive jet to build and to operate.
American Pentagon disconnect is historical. In the Vietnam era the Pentagon started churning out F 4 Phantoms. A very good jet, but they were huge and the problem of the F 35 in they were too overloaded and heavy which defeated the design purpose. After this General Dynamics got it right with the F 15 the heavy bombing jet and the F 16, the light fighter jet, which were two of the most perfectly built fighter jets ever. That all changed when the Stealth jets came along in being expensive and having too many problems.
The F 35 has these problems. It can not fly super sonic ,because it gets hot and the stealth paint melts off. The back antennae melt off too. The pilots turn off the voice activated and touch screen technology as there is too much and it just gets in the way.
Honesty what was a powerful jet, with great potential has become a jet that even Russian radar can see, which defeats the stealth mode and without speed, it is just another big heavy jet flying along which can do some impressive tactics, but it has to rely on killing the enemy at extreme range as up close it will get killed.
So when I read headlines like the one below, my strategic thought is, "No South Korea does not need this F 35. South Korea needs about 500 neutron bombs as the watch dog in the front yard".

The Koreans are rolling out their own 4th generation fighter, but it will not be ready for another decade. That is poor planning as they should have hopped to the point of unmanned fighters and controlled them from underground bases, so to avoid the G forces which will be required in coming combat as unless anti grav jets appear, humans are finished in flying fighter missions.
Military planners are worthless in not focusing on the expedient tools necessary for combat. If you need something large, then build a high altitude bomber, which could launch titanium rods into space, direct them on target and have a clean nuclear bomb type shockwave. Smaller stuff in dtone fighters would be designed for defense and surgical attack. The world of pulse, laser and missiles are what fills in the blanks, in it will require overwhelming numbers to defeat these expensive systems and easily defeated, then one degrades the enemy. One can still do more damage with old JDAM's which are precision and less coslty than expensive hypersonic missiles. Again rods at hypersonic speeds will do as much damage as nuclear warheads.
The people who made the F 35 into this expensive and worthless weapon should all be lined up and executed in public, as this is incompetence beyond all reason.
Russia's Su 57 which looks like the stolen F 35 plans, actually is capable. The Mig 29 was equally a sound aircraft and the new Su 57 is promising to be just as 5th generation deadly.
So we reside in a world of deliberate incompetence. The worthless F 35 is designed to goad Russia or China into attack on their fronts or to press to attack America. It is a trillion dollar ruse and they could have done just as much in repainting F 18's and just stolen the money as at least the F 18 was capable of doing something.
"Sorry the stealth paint peals off when it flies too fast". They did tests, and they knew this before production, so this is a lie or it is a deliberate problem which is as old as the 1970's billion dollar stealth aircraft now being rendered to the junk pile.
We exist in a world of conglomerate and hedge fund tyrants who say what is legal and illegal and they plunder nations of their wealth in International Socialism. There is no happy ending to this, just disgust, in more people's lives wasted in taxes confiscated from them, and it is the criminals status of the United States and the world.
