Kalanchoe Plant

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

The last pot plant I got was that one from Home Depot, in a leaf of a African Violet was broke off so I walked out with it. It was nice, but I don't know if it is alive or a rat ate it.

So we were standing in line at the Thrift and there was this box of plants. Wandering Jews and this other succulent. 1.50 for the plant and you got a coffee mug with it.

I debated for awhile about it and TL said to get one so I did, but no one knew what the thing was. I asked later and they said it was a kalache. A kalache is some Slavic desert thing like a German Krueller or whatever.

So I finally looked today as to what this thing was, as we transplanted it over on Grandpas, and it survived Big Hoss turding in the toilet and burning things up. In fact it really did great. Apparently these plants do not need water.

So it was planted into some sandy clay loam and it loves it. The cool thing about this plant is there are little roots coming out of the stems. I plan on snipping the little thing and it will be littler, but then I will have two plants.

I really want two after seeing what this thing is.

I doubt mine is as pretty as the one above. Most seem to be white.

They are from Madagascar, need like a few months in winter to have 14 days of dark, and then like the next winter they flower and keep flowering.

I like plants that are like weeds, but that look like plants. The one we have has these Christmas cactus type leaves, no spines, but succulent and thick like that. Gets like 18 inches tall, so it is lovely on it's own ,but if it flowers, this thing really is pleasing, especially the ready roots coming out of it like fang testicles.

I meant to write tentacles but auto spell checker put nuts on there, so I left it as it must have been destiny.

I'm looking forward to this plant. Looking forward to that place being ours, almost about the same desire in that.

So I think I recommend this as a house plant even though I hate the things. The mother had Philadonderans ........I had one too. She had cactus......not me. She had violets.......I had one. She had Wandering Jews.........I got rid of that thing as they are dirty plant from my view of things.

She had other plants, but never knew how to take care of them. Sister gave her some damned Hibiscus or something and she let it get all ratty and overgrown.  She was afraid to care for it. She had a fit when I said I was going to fix that plant, so I went at it with a scissors, and gave it a butch cut, and that thing looked nice when it leafed out again.

Any way, the mother had shitty house plants so I hated them. Me, I got this plant and I like it and it looks like it likes me too. About all I have to say about this relationship as it is just starting, but it is about the first house plant which pleased me and delighted me after I got it home.

Nuff Said
