A Former Manslayer

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

As I do not have the donations, I have to weigh in the balance everything.

I wa600s checking out rifle ammunition, which was like saying I was checking out women's breasts as there are so many different kinds, but I found some Remington Core Lokt for 30 bucks a buck. I dislike those prices, but the cheapest you can get for 30.06 cartridges now is 20 dollar full metal jacket and as i am not into shooting people according to the Geneva convention and donations are not allowing a reloading beginning, I stick with soft point ammo as my intent is to shoot large game with it.

I looked online and Midway was just as shocking as you can get brands from 30 to 40 dollars a box. Honestly deer do not require expensive bullets and whopper volumes of powder. As I am not associated with Scheels, although I would love to get free things from them, I did find some 20 to 25 dollar cheap ammo which is not that cheap. I normally would opt for the cheap ammo as I have enough Silver Bear out of Russia in 223 soft point for hunting before the elite wanted Russia's gold, to get by with till Jesus comes back. I just wanted something for my deer rifle, which is a 7600 Remington pump. I would have all pumps and everything from 223 to 35 Whelen if I was rich. Mine is a carbine and a very sweet little girl.
I have a story about her in I was looking for jewelry for her and remembered my not so asshole bro in law compare to the big double anus asshole bro in law, bought a 760 which had a tip off mount. Beloved Uncle had a see through mount, but I liked the idea of this tip off thing. So I went on Ebay and searched as good things they no longer make, and I found a lot from a gun dealer of 3 of these mounts. So as I was a real Ebay sniper back in the day, I got all three for I think 50 some bucks as I really wanted that mount.

Next day I get his note from some deer slayer, asking if I wanted to sell it as he had been doing something and asked his wife to bid and she blew it or he would have gotten it. I thought about that poor wife and this big asshole. I told him no as I wanted the mount, but grinned a satisfied grin in saying to myself, "No you would not have gotten that mount as I wanted it. When I want something I will go to the high bid and get what I want.

I burn a number of people on Ebay by doing that, as I have my limits and I have my maximum. That mount I would have paid dearly for it, more than that poor wife would have ever bid.

So I got my mount and put on it a 30 dollar Tasco, 4 power shotgun scope. Is a neat close quarter outfit, but I need things to feed it, which comes to the 25 dollar Scheels Winchester Power Point, which is a pretty good load as that bullet holds together allot better than the Core Lokt Remingtons. Maybe if Remington gave me guns and lot of ammo, you would read how much I like their stuff.

So I got 80 rounds, which is 80 deer and above size creatures. That is like at least 40 years of meat, and I really do not have much concern about 40 years from now meat hunting, so that is the fodder my rifle has it if comes to that.

Oh I also purchased some CCI 22 CB Shorts for my Chiapa cheap single shot revolver. I would love to have a Ruger Bearcat but last time I checked they were leaving 600 dollars as cheap price and I am not spending all that on a gun. The Chiapa from Italy, has a barrel liner insert is a cheap, but well made revolver. Got it for under 150 bucks, and it shoots magnum cartridges too.  I do not care to shoot mags in this little thing, as 22 Winchester hollow points makes my hearing ring. The shorts or CB,  the CB is just basically a primer launch at 720 feet per second. Low report which is kind of what I want if things go south. Granted the price sucks at over 11 bucks, but I am not one to waste ammo and this is an investment. If I plan on hunting for food, then it is the 22 rifle with hollow points as I hate solids which this CB is.........but a hollow point in a CB is worthless due to bullet speed, so you get something that will break skulls and put supper in the pot.

Never did anything with Scheels before, but they had what I trusted at a price that was not 30 bucks a box.

While I always have things I want like a 243 would be my choice for non pelt coyote slaying, that probably will not happen. Is odd as when the brother in law bought that old 760, you could always find some geezer wanting to part with some gun he pretended he hunted with. Now you can't find anyone who wants to part with even shit that would blow up in your face.

Oh I got the 165 grain bullets, as  this is the sweet load for the 30.06. They used to load only 150 and 180 grains for hunting mostly. Neither one excelled as that 30 caliber is just not right, even if everything has been killed with that round.  It is bizarre but the 7 mm or the 270 is a much more perfect loading in the 130 grain weight. Is like the 25 simply outdoes the 6 mm. It would not seem that a few fractions of something would make a difference but it does. One of the loveliest rounds is the 65. Swedish.

I have a box of Norma 7 point something Jap rounds and I just like the looks of that round. Would love to have a pump Remington in that and see what it would do, as I bet it would not be high pressure like a 308 NATO an not be as dog as that wonderful 300 Savage which has killed lots of deer, better than the 30 30 Winchester.

I love eating game meat, but am to the point that I would rather just shoot animals, the have them get up in the Lord's healing and watch them trot off with no harm done. That Jap looks heads above that AK 47 in 30 caliber which people use in the South to make holes in hogs and deer.

Anyway still praying that God delivers to me Beloved Uncle's 270 in 760 as that was how Remingtons should be, not like my dull coated satin finished pretty girl.

Just have to have some cash find me to feed my babies.
