As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
Things do not grow well in the Brier, but I do have a few plants that will reseed on their own, namely tomatoe plants.
In this episode I have what I call the phantom squash, as I'm baking at the moment to see what it is.
I planted four years ago some bush summer squash. They produced and I had planted some spaghetti squash from seed from one we got from the store and the plants grew and wilted and died. So the next year these squash came up. Not wasting things I let them grow in rows of other things and they spread in long vines.
They did not look like much, so I left them in the garden over winter as what good are summer squash that are mature.
Next year, I tilled the garden and more of them came up. Same deal, they were kind of a nuisance in going all over the place, but they were producing the same things.
Year four, I was fed up with them, and started tilling them out and they still grew and produced in a rather severe drought and chem HAARP poison, better than ever. This time TL said we should pick them up, so we got a box, I kept one in the porch to test and that is what I'm doing now.
They keep like winter squash. They shell is hard and when I cut into this one, it looks like the tendrils on the seeds of a spaghetti squash. Am puzzled what this thing is and in a few hours I will find out if it is a spaghetti squash, but considering they never produce here, I wonder what this this of origin is. If it broke down from a hybrid or what happened. I just know I have a very prolific squash which when I tried to kill it, it kept going like it was a weed.
I think one of these in the garden I picked up was like a warty crookneck that was bright orange.......again, where are these things coming from and what are they. I really do not like squash that much, but am trying to figure out why these things are growing like weeds, when the hybrids and others are either dying or not doing very good.
If this is a spaghetti I'm going to be highly disappointed if I plant the things and it comes out different in another mystery. Is just one of those things in the Brier that only weeds grow well like lambsquarter, and here is a fruit that actually reseeds and grows like a weed and I do not know where it came from or what it is.
I conclude God is doing an Eden thing for His reasons. Would love to have melons do the same, but am satisfied if this is only a chicken feed squash.
