Let us get the facts straight. Americans put God on the shelf. Your prayers are to be re centered, in everything you pray, even for yourself, will be oriented to what is in it for God. That is what it means in the Bible when the Saints pray, FOR YOUR NAMESAKE AS WE ARE CALLED BY YOUR NAME. This is about God's reputation always and always has been, not about you. So stop your damned whining about how bad things are, and begin invoking and activating God, not because you deserve it or Sodom America is worth saving, but because this is God's investment, God's work, God's doing in what He built America to be as the pulpit to bring Jesus Salvation to the world, and we all allowed it to be whored up.
Don't be despondent about how bad things are. Put your prayer foot forward every moment and get moving to wher you know God has something better. As King David stated in his problems, "Who knows, maybe God will be merciful to me". You don't know unless you ask and keep asking.

Confess your sins. Humble yourselves. Ask God to deliver you because He has love to those who come knowing this is all because God accepts those who respect Him and prove it by living by His Commandments, and you thank God for listening to you because you have never done a thing to deserve that audience and are only there because of Who Jesus is and what Jesus did in gaining you that spot to pray.

20 If we had forgotten the name of our God or spread out our hands to a foreign god, 21 would not God have discovered it, since he knows the secrets of the heart? 22 Yet for your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. 23 Awake, Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever. 24 Why do you hide your face and forget our misery and oppression? 25 We are brought down to the dust; our bodies cling to the ground. 26 Rise up and help us; rescue us because of your unfailing love.
Do not be like your rebellious ancestors who had no Faith, and then thought they could take measures into their own hands after rejecting God.
