To the heart of the Nut

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

This is a short lesson on sprouting peach seeds.

This is a bit of a refined version of the above link as I was having a bit of problem with the ideas.

I have spouted cherry seeds, by just planting them. I sprout apple seeds in a method which involved hydrogen peroxide and plastic bags and it has worked very well. Is less messy than potting soil or peat moss, as they suggest for sprouting nut seeds.

The peach seeds I had were Nemagaurd, thy came off of Ebay. The peach seeds I got from the store, were in a peach, and there was not a pit in them. The ones from Ebay though were all viable. Getting to them though was the problem

I tried cracking them, with a regular pliers. The big pits cracked and exploded. The little ones in the Nemagaurd, one shattered and damaged the seed, and I tired another and a piece shot out of the middle like a bullet.

It was then deemed to soak the pits over night to soften them.

The suggestions were a vice. I had small fishing lure vice I got off of Ebay and the one I seized upon by the Holy Ghost in a big ass Channel lock pliers my old man had. Soaking seeds helped, but these pits are like diamond shells and still splintered and exploded when they broke.

The secret is in the picture, a combined photo above of soaking pits, the channel lock and the paper towel with peroxide on it, which I roll up the seeds to sprout in a plastic bag in the fridge.

If you pay attention and work up the opening on the vice, you will find a spot where it will not damage the seed and the pit will still break as the pliers can not completely close.

I decided to soak about half in just a water tissue and the other in the peroxide. That is the bleach as it keeps the mold from growing and it seems to help the seeds to germinate too in a caustic.

Will just see how this goes, but that is how you get to the peach seed. We do not have fruit worth a shit here from other parts of America as the rich people and Chinamen get the good stuff and we get is the chit no one else wants, hence seedless pits or Evercrisp apples the cartel will not sell at a high price, until they taste like mold and then they end up here, and I gather the seeds to see if they will sprout in the method above, minus the Channel locks.

That is the short lesson in this. The world should be full of peach trees and honeydew melons. Is what my plot is going to overflow with when Jesus comes back. Peaches in the brier will sprout and grow, but we always get a winter where the frost goes deep and kills the trees. I have had peaches sprout in the garden, grow for a few years and then go tits up.  I do not have the resources yet due to non donors for the Peacharium with honeybees to delight tme.
