Sometimes in private conversations here I store information so I can find it, in case other sites go kaput.
I had run into a problem with the incubator, well actually a crap load of problems like hole saws that needed mandrels, not Barbara, and other f*ck ups like the light fixture socket I put the ends on the wires and forgot to put the wires to the fan through the opening......so off that comes and I will remember. It was a shitty day in bad things happening, so I was overtaxed and hence mistakes.
I did not blow myself up with electricity though.
I got the plug in working.......great. No light for heat or fan though.
So I looked online and found this God be Glorified site which actually showed how a water heater is wired up. I had saved the wiring from JYG's so I thought I had it right, but if you look at the diagram, the hot and cold wires come into the top two terminals. That is what I had the electricity going to the fan and light, so I had it figured backwards.
I at least know what that eunuch bottom thermostat is wired like and what the wiring is to put it all together. I place it here for your education as people should at least know what is in their house or whatever.
I will review this tomorrow before I go out and hook the wires up kosher and then I expect it all to work, and the salvage thermostat is not a junker which I will have to switch out. At least now I know how to wire it, and that is no biggie.
The hole saw, different story. I got the hole drilled for a heat lamp fixture.......hole was too big. So now I have to find some large washers with holes in the hopefully at the farm store to nigger rig that to hold in place as I really do not want to frick around building some homemade washers front and back with a grinder and tin snips. That is worth it if I can get those pieces in town.
