Saving of the liberal Newspaper Industry

Many years ago in watching a Star Trek episode about an attorney who was defending Capt. Kirk, the attorney there just loved books and had piles of them.
I too exist in a world where my books are not on shelves, but stacked around me like a bunker as I peer out of the internet foxhole upon the world.
It occurred to me then that a wonderful device would be a reading panel which would mimic books, magazines and newspapers.

In the past few years Amazon has invented Kindle, which is such a system. That system which does indeed for around 10 bucks a month provide papers like the New York Times for readers is though not comprehending nor is Jeff Bezos of Amazon the real market of this medium which can save the United States newspaper industry.

The problem is Mr. Bezos is selling his Kindle around 500 bucks. The second problem is the New York Times is selling subscriptions for people to read their papers.
Some advice to both liberals is to give away their products.

As that sounds nuts, I will explain to Mr. Bezos how this is done.

First all of the above need an increased market for their products. The biggest market to tap into, initiate and increase sales is the American school system.
The Times like all publishers have clout yet with state governments and national governments. Their mission should be to participate into a system which will provide Kindle to schools whereby children will read all things on Kindle and Bezos can develop a new "John Madden NFL draw board" that children to college kids can do their lessons on and file them for grading.

As this system builds, parents will start wanting that same information access and those graduating children will want their own Kindle too.
The way to get that into people's hands is sponsors from Apple, to cell phone providers who use this system, to advertisers to the papers themselves.

Give the Kindle away to people who will read papers which are provided free and the papers like Google make money just like all sites off of the numbers of readers hitting their papers and seeing advertisements which advertisers will be paying revenues based on the ads seen.

In this simple system, an entire new medium is placed in the market without direct consumer payment, but instead funded by excise taxes incorporated into the price of products just like Miller beer to Ford's given away on Drew Carey's Price is Right.

Jeff Bezos and all of these inept marketing American newspapers are missing a golden opportunity. Bezos if he had the mindset should for a dollar buy all of these now defunct papers and start managing them as a free flow of information system based on advertising rates.

It would be in the interest of each state in keeping their papers operating and in the interest of Amazon to indoctrinate an entire consumer class into Kindle and it will be in the interest of advertisers to tap into a market which will feature their product.
See as Bezos understands, some people just like books. There is something special about reading a book, new books have that fresh paper, fresh ink, fresh glue smell and old books like my over 100 year old copy of Teddy Roosevelt's Wilderness Hunter has that old sour musty smell which is comforting, along with the dust mites which cause my eyes to feel sandy, but each time I cover those lines again with the blanket of my eyes, I'm snuggled in home again in the bed of intimacy with a beloved friend, traveling the world through them.
It might be Billy Dixon in the thirsting cold in a buffalo wallow, Commodore Porter on the deck of his frigate in South America or Sahib Kipling with those scents of Pakistan, but books are something which an electronic internet can not compete with some.

Jeff Bezos understand this in part, but he needs to take Amazon by the reins and newspapers by the hands and have them all join with governments in creating a vista for the free flow of information.
Make the newspapers free by ad rates, allow some subscriptions for magazines and purchase prices for books, but build the system Mr. Bezos in what is outlined here.

You have utilized my many feedback options on your site to good use and I have used your products with pleasure.

As a side note Mr. Bezos, I have an informed assistance to making your Amazon even more competitive.
Currently Amazon is wonderful in supersaver shipping. You though in contracting with 3rd party sellers are creating disgruntled customers in the fact someone expecting Amazon shipping, all of a sudden finds a lasagna roasting pan at a wonderfully cheap price of $10.95, greeted with $12.40 shipping.
Customers really get infuriated over this stuff, including price gouging when they find out the Postal Service ships a flat rate of around eight dollars and this company pocketed the rest.

While this is not you Mr. Bezos, last August I purchased some flavorings from King Arthur Flour, expecting them to be shipped. The price was under ten dollars, but they charged me 13 dollars, sat on the shipment for 2 weeks and then pocketed the 10 dollar difference.
When confronted on this, I got the brush off from King Arthur Flour to which I informed them I would never do business with those cheats again.........and oh look on the forever internet numbers of people are now reading that King Arthur Flour gouges customers and cheats them.

People remember those things, just like in ordering a tortilla press from a California company online using Yahoo checkout, I received my press for under 10 dollars shipping in 3 days, which included Sunday.

All of the above Mr. Bezos are the greatest holes in Amazon and the United States newspaper business. I dislike moronic liberals as they are moronic, but for the good of America there must be morons around fawning over Barack Obama as they start waking up as they figure out he is in the process of aborting America and making George Bush's spending look miserly and George Bush foreign policy as actually brilliant compared to Obama love thy terrorist policy.

I don't want a Kindle though Mr. Bezos in payment for the above billions of dollar information for Amazon's growth. That would be cheap if I charged you a hundred million for the information.

Perhaps you might be like so many including the BBC in stealing my ideas in revamping their entire American operation and I just leave it to God to work things out, but perhaps in your benevolence you will work something out for service rendered.

After all this is a time of serving massah Obama in he rules, and us chickens with the bigger brain Inspiration, just have more to do in compensating for his incompetence.

God bless
