I will bet most people have no idea that in one chapter of Ezekiel that you can learn of worldwide commerce, how to build a ship and subjects that touch on Alexander the Great and the United States. It was the judgment against Tyre.

Chapter 17 was my unique chapter given by the Holy Spirit today. I found out in a simple listing of ship making materials that one builds a Mediterranean warships and trading ships out of fir.
Fir is a light, soft and buoyant wood. The choice God reveals for a mast is the cedar.

That is most interesting as the cedar I have worked with was brittle, but the cedar of Lebanon was the choice for the most stressed point on a ship.
The oars were made of oak, which does make sense for the denseness of the wood. It is an open grained wood so I also suspect that this would help the oarsmen grip just a bit better as the maples, cherry and ash woods would slip on sweaty hands.
Oak though is very heavy and would tired oarsmen.
Ivory were the choice for benches which was fascinating and the sails were made of Egyptian linen, which is made from pounded flax straw.

The colors chosen were blue and purple and if my chemistry and sea studies are correct, the dye came from a snail of sorts, so we have a picture of the mighty sailing ships which ruled the world of this period and how to build them.

The ships were inhabited by seamen, pilots who plotted the course and kept the ship from sounding and the most important of all, the caulkers. The seams on the ships were not perfect and a wool with a type based resin would keep the good ships from leaking.

Their mercenary soldiers in Tyre were from Africa and Persia.

These ships were amazing in they list from the Spanish coast into touching India. I was fascinated by the wares they were trading.
Silver, iron, tin, with tin being know to come from the Tin Island, which is England.

The merchants were from Javan to Meschech, which is into Russia. They traded brass, which is copper and tin smithed and they traded slaves.
Togarmah which is of the Russian hordes brought horses, horsemen and mules.

As one who has an affection for horses in their ancestry, the Bible is hinting at a most unique thing not before noticed. The American Quarter horse is a product of the English Thoroughbred.

The studs of the Thoroughbreds were from 3 captured or liberated Turkish horses that bred with English bloodlines. These were the Arabs which gave the classic lines that advanced equestrian breeding.
While Russia is known to have primitive horses currently, it appears that the sons of Japheth at one time had the progenitors of the Arab class of horses. The Caucasus region not only brought the apple to the world, but it seems in trade through Tyre the modern horse.

Horns, ivory and ebony which is a wood from Africa are listed in Tyre. Craftsmen uses these hardened materials in polishing them for inlay designs and knife handles. The entire region as artwork uncovered shows must have rivaled anything the modern world has for artistic expression.
Syria would bring emeralds, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and agate. Once again the artistic expression now hints at the decorations of women in the most lovely highlights.

The people of Israel who America is of, traded the best of wheat crops, honey, oil and balm. This shows the advanced agriculture and processing of vast quantities of the finest dietary additions and medical remedies.

A tribe of Israel in Dan was very active in ships. That might surprise many people who think of only sheep and farming in the Israelites, but Dan was one of the most adventurous peoples on earth. Their bringing of bright iron, cassia, and calamus, hints of polished or perhaps a stainless steel of sorts and other rare world items from long distance trade.
Dan during the divorcement of God to the northern kingdom when the 10 tribes were taken into exile, actually half the tribe on the coast took to their ships and fled.
Indications are Dan was the people who transformed the Greeks into the advanced people they were.

Around this time the Irish annals speak of the Tuatha de Danaan, or Tribe of Dan settling there. This is where a generation later Jeremiah would bring the last king of Judah's daughter to transplant the kingdom of David for Christ to be found currently in Queen Elizabeth's British Throne.
British means covenant people.

There are hints that the Phoenicians with Dan founded Carthage in Africa in that great trading empire. Even America would be touched by these immigrating bands. Artifacts are showing up all over America from New England to the southwest from these "Phoenicians".
It would be these traders who would found the civilized tribes of the American east coast which Americans found it is said at the time in one group were speaking a Hebrew language.

This would explain how the American Indian has in it both Japanese roots from and Asian people, this "other" bloodline and one that traces back into the European cave dwellers. There was mass population shifts as the Assyrian empire forced out the seafaring peoples.
So it is a bit odd about American Indians terming themselves rightful or native Americans, when they are in effect Japanese and actually owe their advancement to the Israelite and Middle Eastern peoples.
What is interesting in this saga is later around 1000 AD, another group of Israelites would follow up and flood America with solar wheel calendars, rune stones and populate what is thought in the splendid glacial melt of the Noah flood, with around 40,000 Vikings.
The Shoshone and Mandan peoples would be advanced and be recorded as the white skinned and blonde haired Indians.
By 1776, the Israelite migration of Joseph would be in full swing.

Adding to Tyre was the merchandise of Sheba or the Arabian peninsula, which were spices, and with all precious stones, and gold. This notes a merchant marine was plying it's trade to Indochina and the Spice Islands which the Dutch and English would later fight over in the 1600's.

It was this world trade center which Tyre would be deemed by God for it's satanic likeness in lifting itself up from God.
Tyre would be pushed back from the shores by the empires coming in Assyria and Babylon to be recorded on this island which was absolutely in control of huge sums of wealth and power in an impenetrable Gibraltar.

That was until a Macedonian showed up named Alexander the Great. Alexander stood on that shore of stone with his army and told Tyre to surrender.
Tyre smugly told Alexander, "No".

I have always wondered at the sickening reality which Tyre must have realized as the city's citizens watched this Greek army and felt secure enough from the Greek fleet to realize one day that with their ships fled, that the puzzle of these strange Greeks having crews dumping rubble into the sea.
Alexander would scrape as prophecy noted, Tyre on land to the pavement as he built a land bridge toward the island fortress.
That must have been an epic moment of sinking fate in the people of Tyre realizing they were about to face a fate worth than death, as they told Alexander, "No." To which Alexander would plunder all they had and scatter them to the far reaches of the empire as slaves never to be heard from again.

Ezekiel 27 in prophecy is a most complete historical account as it reaches around the entire globe in a modern link to the ancient peoples.

verse 36: The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt be any more.

The Bible can reveal so much if people would just look at it and trust in the Word. As this blog noted previously, Christopher Columbus sailed around the world trusting in one Biblical verse.
The ancient world was a great deal smaller in world than arrogance historians ever care to examine. It was a global commerce interconnected.

It is about to connect again in the mathematical frequency of the past meeting Obama.
