In practice it is quite easy to improve upon the God design of the human form without genetic manipulation nor any other immoral practices.
The protocols would be to simply infuse through intravenous means a natural seed bed coating of various forms as a sprouting medium for a secondary protocol.

In layman's terms, one injects a natural material into the body which for example bones would absorb as a natural building platform. What would be built upon this in the secondary protocol would a be a nano virus or bacteria which would attach itself to the bone medium. This engineered bacteria would be like the class which feeds on crude oil but in reverse.
What the nano would be accomplishing is being the bee's honeycomb or the coral forming the reef, all over a shield in the porous bone, which would in effect create an armour plated bone.

Specifics, one does not want to create an X O or exoskeleton of metal as such conductors would not only absorb radio waves, but the more dangerous electricity, literally making the human a lightning conductor.
No instead, this bone structure plating would be something akin to body armour like kevlar as the natural bi product of the nano.

It is equally in this realm possible of the necessary upgrades of a polymer or plastic which is more resilient than arteries, muscle tissue and tendons, to deal with the increased stresses of this polymer skeleton. Superior bone structure would cause the need for this advance human form to be able to deal with combat rigors of the increased blow from a human fist, being magnified like brass knuckles.
In effect if one is going to build an X O skeleton which is in effect body armour which could stop bullets and shrapnel, it is equally necessary to increase the properties of resiliency of other body systems.

It would be possible with the elasticity to even coat vital organs so they would be self sealing in the advent of being punctured for example as in bullets.

Certain organs require delicacy as in hearing and sight. Synthetic advancements might be better to deal with these aspects as the fluid of the eye is fluid, and a greater shatter proof lens, is still bound to a viscous organ which if stuck correctly would actually make a shatter proof lens as shrapnel to the brain in rare acts of fate.

With certain tweaks, the nano could as in static electricity generate a charge held within the body like an electric eel to be diffused in a superconductor outlay of directional energy, such as a "stinger" coming out of the index finger much like a tongue from the mouth.

From the super warrior to the regeneration of broken human bodies, the X O has vast possibilities on this side of the barrier.

Of course the East Germans doing primitive experiments in their man women of the Olympics to the current almost 30 year old generation of giants which were created by elements in America, were done with hormonal protocols and many times on unwilling subjects.
So the method and scientific structure has been operating for a generation now. It was the beginning and from injected cancers to the injected advancement a number of things are possible in the human form without utilizing the genesis light.
