There are few things in this life more to the bone than laying on some forsaken beach, just alive enough to care that the rocks jabbing you in the back are about as uncomfortable as the evacuation blanket the medics have you wrapped in.........and home is thousands of miles through a mob of people who would enjoy pissing in your face, cutting off your nuts and then burning you alive as they dragged your body through the streets.
Few things that is, in equal proportion to the leftist ilk in charge of much of the western world now, including Gordon Brown who didn't give a damn about British Veterans to want to attend the 65th Normandy commemoration and wanted to wait until the 70th.
The British Vets were quite displeased in this in stating, "Mr. Brown sir, most of us will be dead in the next 5 years and not around to attend. This is quite important."
Gordon Brown though did not see fit to invite the Queen who was a uniformed British Soldier nor did the French who were fed up with the leftist Angles.
Brown made amends though in attending and Obama feigned concern in wanting the Queen to attend..........Brown's amends were naming Omaha Beach, OBAMA BEACH, which just shows he couldn't give a flying fig about the tommies as Brown has Obama on his mind.
This blog was the only source which has exclusively exposed the dishonor Barack Obama has shown since he has been prancing around since 2007 pretending to be the occupant of the White House in not setting aside any time to visit or invited wounded American Soldiers to be in his presence.
President Bush made great efforts to be with the men and women he was leading. Obama could care less in they never even entered his mind.
The Republicans finally shamed Obama and Axelrod Inc. into forcing Obama in his busy schedule of golfing on Memorial Day to stop in Germany to visit wounded and recovering American heroes.
I have not covered the wonderful work going on in the British and American militaries in caring, nurturing, recovering and promoting wounded Soldiers in healing them in mind, heart and soul, so these once broken people are included and productive members of the military if they choose or members of civilian society.
The work the military is accomplishing is fantastic in therapy of turning people without limbs into those who can not only walk, but run and serve in combat again if they choose. It is remarkable and fitting which should be what someone in the White House should be championing, but instead Obama can only use dead Soldiers coffins as photo ops in a worse way than Bill Clinton was on Normandy having one of his pathetic aids tilting an America flag in disgrace so Bill could set it straight in a staged event.
It is the worst of situations to now have people in power who couldn't give a literal damn about Soldiers who fought in historic wars or current wars. What kind of trash for a soul is it who is Birdie Obama who can not ever acknowledge a Marine Guard's salute with a salute that was military instead of one which looks like a gull flapping on the beach.
The worst of it is yet to come as Obama the dunce is shoving hisself from Germany to France ahead of the nations elected officials breaking protocols and acting like he is leading them when by every account, the Germans and the French are in rebellion in not about to follow Obama in economic or military policies into the abyss.
Soldiers deserve much better than this than to be photo ops for leftist politicians who can not even take the time to visit them when they are wounded, but in Obama's case can feel up female Soldiers in Iraq as the commander in grope.
Perhaps it is time that D Day commemorations stop as it leaves one with nausea to see the butchery going on to the memory of Soldiers, or perhaps, the alternative is for the naive whining mobs to only elect Gentlemen and Ladies who understand completely what sacrifice means, what duty means and what honor means.
It is D Day and not O Day for Obama to hog the camera and Gordon Brown to rename a beach, because he can't even focus on the heroes who took that beach and every inch of that ground to Nazi Germany.
That invasion of France was a horrendous blunder by the military leadership and operations planners. It had nothing to do with American or British might. It had to do with God's Grace in helping individuals on those beaches get fed up with getting shot at and blowed up by German positions and they stormed ahead finally to get it over with one way or the other.
The fact of the matter is if Patton had been allowed the fuel and support he should have had, that it would have been the 3rd Army which crushed Germany and liberated Poland.
There never would have been an Iron Curtain, a Soviet Union or a Maoist China if American Soldiers had been allowed to do their job under real leaders.
Monty of the Brits sat on his ass in the lowlands with the America 1st gobbling up resources and not doing a thing while the 3rd chewed up the German lines.
General Patton if left to his initiative would have ended the war by Christmas 1944 in Berlin and created a line from the Baltic to Turkey.
But that was another time in FDR and Truman coddling communists and being leftists they couldn't give a damn about the Soldier either in squandering their blood.
To disgrace America, British, French and Polish Soldiers in this Obama breach is but another in the growing list of reprehensible acts in this age of Obama.
Next time, let us just send Soldiers to remember the second louies and corpsmen tending to the men on those beaches who groaned and cursed the Chaplains, because they were not ready to die yet..........and leave the politicians to find the monkeys in their pants to amuse themselves.
Gordonian Brown's Knot Head
On dreams of beaches heroes Won
I still hear the sounds of battle
I still lay at the corpsmen feet
I still scent the salted shores
As my heart lays still to beat
My blood was not a crimson tide
It was just dark upon my blanket wool
The Chaplain said a prayer for me
I prayed that heaven was not too full
It was cold on that windswept day
But a fever burned within me inside
I saw the bodies in the ocean bob
The day all of us had died
I lived when I should not have
I lived when my life was done
I still hear the sounds of battle
On dreams of beaches heroes won.
