Go and sell all

While this blog is not pro Catholic with that religion's necromancy, buying dead from fictional purgatory, thinking the Pope is better than other Christians to the government thing they lust over in that idol plagued dogma, it does support Catholic faithful who are first and foremost of Jesus the Christ as thee only begotten Son of God and the only Way to redemption.

The reason for stating the above is not to give carte blanche to the Catholic religion in discussing it, but instead to examine some interesting people who were members of the One Church of Christ.

I have noted that Jeanette D'Arc is the firefly of my heart here in she delights me in the strength, drive, virtue, intelligence and Godliness this Lady possesses as her convictions. She is a study in all things all women should be in how dynamic they are.
In her testimony in official court records, she lists two people who God heard in prayers for France which were linked to God's Divine Mission for her. The two were Saint Charlemagne and Saint Louis.
I will not invest any time here with the legendary Charlemagne, Karolus Magnus, Charles I, but will instead speak of someone that a find city in America in Missouri is named for in St. Louis as it is fascinating to see what this King Louis IX was about as a Christian for which Catholics call him a saint.

Louis was an extraordinary man in being at war with English, negotiating with Henry III, making peace and then King Henry would have Louis as the arbitrator for his own conflicts in his lords.
That is most interesting that Henry would choose a former enemy in trusting him that much to be fair and just to both sides.

Louis would do the same type of conduct in exchanges with Muslims while on Crusade which he went twice on to free the Holy Land. He would be captured by the Egyptians and ransomed, but move on to Acre for a few years using his own funds to build the defenses there.

Using his own money was what this leader was about in some truly Christlike undertakings.

Louis would feed the beggars from his own table and then eat what the beggars left for his own ration. He would wash their feet, minister to lepers and every day feed one hundred poor people.
He would found reform houses for prostitutes and 300 blind men......hospitals would be built by Louis at Pontoise, Vernon, CompiƩgne.
The Sorbonne was founded under his patronage.

His Mother once told him to lead an exemplary life for "She would rather see him dead at her feet than to commit a mortal sin".

In writing the above, I was pondering just how politicians today have an affinity for stealing other people's money in gross taxes and then spending that money to curry favor in handing it out for "projects they take credit for" when not one cent of the money they have has gone to buy shoes for one person.
None of this is judgment or condemnation of Barack Obama, but when one notes the poverty his family has endured in Kenya in not even having indoor plumbing, and there they constantly spend taxpayer moneys on vacations while being multi millionaires, it comes to the point one would like to have Bearick Obama hear a voice saying, Go and sell all that you have and give it to the poor.

I know John Kennedy never cashed a check for serving as President and I know Ronald Reagan constantly wrote personal checks out of his own money to help people who asked him. It is even in that so much removed in this world today that one reads of a man named Louis eating the food beggars leave, washing their feet, tending to lepers who have contagious diseases and then using their own money to help prostitutes, the blind and the sick.

While the Bible is silent on the subject of Saints who are any person believing in the Promise in their prayers for nations, it does note in Revelation them gathered before God's Throne about their humble nature. I could see that the French people in dire straights in prayers could be heard by caring leaders in heaven who would pray for the deliverance of that nation.
America's own history has the sworn to legends that George Washington was visited by an Angel of the Lord and that same General Washington visited General McClellan as he commanded the Civil War pointing out directions and necessary movements.

I would in this though that our Nancy Pelosi instead of demanding multi million dollar private jets to instead fly some Americans around so they could visit a loved one before they died or for Bearick Obama to so without one vacation so that a few thousand people could get a hundred thousand dollar check in the mail to pay off their Obama debts.
I mean, who in the heck needs a vacation from maids, chefs, free food, free lodging, a luxury mansion, not having to pay for anything...........one can look at the Grand Canyon and Martha's Vineyard from Google maps and stop spending money like it grows on trees.

That though is something else and the something which is, is St. Louis, the Archway of the West. It would be fitting if more people knew of the people our American cities are named after or the City of Angels, so that the knowledge would rub off on some miscreants who think America is something to apologize for and plunder.

Imagine if America actually had an entire first family who actually with their own hands, own money and own work cared for the poor and established Christian Virtue as a national Crusade.
