As this is a rare early Easter season, I will employ this opportunity to bring to attention some interesting things about "Easter" as many people seem shocked when they find out realities of what this all means.
I have never psychologically liked "Easter", because it was always a cold wet time of year and there was to much drudgery on Lent, too much on Jesus laying down His life, and it was on an early Easter which my sister died when I was a child.
Those events have always stayed with me in it was nice in March of that year as I remember it like yesterday, as it was warm, and I had worked the previous summer in farm labor to have my dad purchase me a chrome bike (it was used of course), but in exchange for picking rock, I got a piglet to raise which turned into my new bike.
The bike came home on a Friday night and it was nice, but too late to ride it, so arising early the next morning I was met at 8 years old by my solemn parents informing me my sister had been killed in a car accident.
I went out to ride my bike, but all the joy was gone, and I can still remember riding around in circles just watching snow flakes fall to the ground and melt away into it, like the world was mourning for our loss and my sister was melting away and could not be saved.
In that though, Easter came very dreary as my family was in depression and all of my siblings with myself figured it was only a matter of time as we all died young in our destinies like my sister did.
Strange what kids all conclude and it is wrong.
Easter though is not a Holy Day, but a festival day of the Ishtar or fertility rites goddess laid over the real Holy Day in the Passover.
Passover was the Angel of the Lord passing over Egypt and killing all the first born in Egypt, while the Hebrews who put the blood of the lamb on their door were spared. It is about humanity coming from the physical bondage of this world into the Spiritual Liberty in God to become His Children of Light.
Passover is about the sacrificial deaths of innocent lambs paying for the sin of people, so they could approach God in an imperfect way, so that in the resulting rebellion of people, God would divorce them as a nation in Israel, and a second marriage or covenant or testament would be required in the Way to God being the Lamb of God in Jesus being executed by the state as the perfect payment for all people's sins who simply admit they are sinners and trust that Jesus will save them.
When Jesus conducted the Last Supper in an event that fascinated me in I always wanted to know who that special Christian was who provided the room for them, and that person too on Palm Sunday who provide the colt Jesus rode on, that Jesus was observing the Passover Feast.
Something needs to be explained here too as what is observed on the calendar is not how the Passion of Christ was carried out.
Jesus was executed on the Day of Preparation which was a Wednesday. He was taken into custody on Jewish time of sundown begins a new day and this was Wednesday.
Joseph of Aramathea had to take the body down and bury it, so he would be clean before sundown for the High Day which was Thursday.
Nothing is noted of happening on earth on Good Friday, and as Saturday was another High Day in the weekly Sabbath, nothing was done on that day either.
It was on Sunday then the first day of the week as the Bible explains, after Jesus was 3 days and and 3 nights in the grave, that the women came in Mary Magdalene, Jesus adoptive mother to prepare the body with spices and ointments.
The body was not found, but Angels were heralding the event that Jesus was arisen from death.
It must have been the most incredible experiences when Mary Magdalene in not knowing the person she was talking to was Jesus, having mourned him for 3 days, to now think someone had stolen his dead body, had her eyes opened and realized Jesus was alive again. To go from absolute lamentation to bliss must have been incredible.
Peter upon being told ran from where they were gathered to the tomb. What an incredible thing that must have been for him in having ran away like most, denied Christ and to have been given another chance to let their best friend in the world know they were sorry.
This is the Passover and the wine of communion is covenant blood literally as a reminder of the blood spilled in sacrifice and the broken bread signifies the broken body in sacrifice meant to bring life. It is sacred and the disciples knew immediately on Passover that Jesus was doing something which was New Covenant and nothing like they had witnessed before.
Communion is the Body and Blood of the Christ, in communing with the Covenant of Life. It is the New Testament of which nothing or no one can ever break it, as it is perfectly completed in Christ as mere humans, become the Children of Spirit in God.
It was in this that the Apostles upon having the Holy Ghost poured out upon them in Jerusalem and speaking to the masses, that by God's Spirit, Jesus Who worked miracles on earth, was now working miracles at the right hand of the Father through His Apostles.
This happened on Pentecost or First Fruits which is the Second High Day Jesus completed after the first High Day in Passover or Easter as it is known.
There is only 1 major High Day left and that is the Feast of Tabernacles, In Dwelling or Trumpets. Christ upon His return in the harvesting of the elect and raising the dead and changing the living to be as Him, will complete this in the autumn of a coming year, after a seven year false peace treaty is brought about from Europe.
After this is the Blessed Day, the last High Day in Jesus rededicates the Temple in December of that year.
The above information was hidden for centuries in the Bible. It has in the past decade or so started to be understood in what it all meant. This understanding is a proof that the world has entered into the period that these events will be completed.
Easter in it's Christian form is a very long tradition stretching back to thousands of years when our American peoples were called the half tribe of Joseph in Manasseh. The wonderful part is as God scattered the American people in sifting them through the world of nations, God did not lose one person and those Americans who are adopted into the original peoples are just as American Israelite as the sons of Abraham, because they have taken on the American persona which is instilled by God.
America is a priestly people who are meant to profess the Good News of the Kingdom of God in the Lord Christ as the Way to God.
It is really the most beautiful of stories and I hope that more people have the blindness of their hearts lifted so they can appreciate the long American Spiritual history and how God has been guiding this people for all their existence.
The Last Supper really was the First Supper of a new Marriage Contract with God in Spirit. One doesn't need the witchcraft of Harry Potter or other corrupting degraded spiritualism to feel special, as a far greater manifestation of power and transformation is within all people if they would simply understand what is available and in each of them.
May God bless you with His Christ in His Name. Amen
