Farmers took piles of cash at low interest with nothing locked in, and inflation took over as land prices rose and so did equipment and fuel prices.
Crop prices remained horridly low, and by the time Carter arrived, a massive stagflation was ushered in which saw 8 percent interest balloon to 23 percent interest.
All these farmers of generational family farms were wiped out by the millions. A literal shift in control of shearing Americans was started, and it meant large agricultural operations run by the USDA and now planting nothing but poison grains which are making people and pets deathly ill.

In the Carter years, the Steel Belt of Ohio was taking it hard as much as the American agriculture sector as they were targeted by the international financiers. The rest of America from California defense to oil to construction though were doing well in high paid jobs.
Into this, the Americans who had retirement funds in banks in passport and certified deposits were making huge profits, which meant retirees were having vast sums of disposable income to create what was known as Snow Birds or people who went south for the winter.
Ronald Reagan in his astute economics awarded these people immensely in the mid 80's. That was until the Bush 41 years when the same constriction started driving money from local banks into the stock markets by Greenspan shearing bubbles which has target ted Americans in all sectors now in the final rape of America.

There was a massive fur boom in the Carter years which kept hundreds of thousands of American families literally alive when red fox were 50 to 90 dollars a pelt, prime white belly bobcats were going for 500 dollars and common muskrats were trading at 6 dollars a pelt.
Americans could at least look to their savings and those small accounts were still generating an interest rate which could pay bills.
That has all vanished under Barack Hussein Obama. His policy of rapine has interest at zero percent literally. I have a savings account in my bank as I believe one always assists their bank in putting back into the community. During the Reagan years, I was rewarded in what I termed commodity treats in the interest would buy a firearm or some other novelty to delight an American soul. This same account I believe generated eighteen cents last year.

With the horrid weather and Obama corporate agriculture killing bees, Americans are not even able to sell a 5 dollar bag of tomatoes from their gardens. There is no going out and trapping a raccoon for 40 dollars as raccoons are barely 10 dollars and welfare is just easier to take than to Benjamin Franklin try and generate money.
The underlying structure of the Obama rapine is complete. There are no longer 12,000 dollar starter homes, no longer 200 dollar cars to get a poor person out in the economy and there is no longer filling your tank for 10 dollars or your grocery bags for 20 dollars.
That is why Obama is worse than Jimmy Carter, as there is no room for poor people in Obama's rape of America. That vital economic structure is gone and it is having Obama war waged upon it in fines concerning health insurance and immense government regulations.
There is no way to start the American dream now unless one is in the system of Obama financial chains and that chain comes with a hundred thousand dollar college bill in that route.
Jimmy Carter created in America a generation of indentured servants. Barack Hussein Obama has created in America perpetual generations of slaves in his massive debt and strangulation of any American's ability to generate a dollar on their own by traditional methods.
