Tuck claimed that the Watergate break-in was an attempt to access information held by Larry O'Brien, chair of the Democratic National Committee about the Hughes-Nixon relationship.
I can tell you that it was not just Dick Tuck who knew that this was behind Watergate, because Bob Mayhew who was the personal assistant to Howard Hughes, also knew that this is what was behind Watergate, as it was Larry O'Brien working for the Kennedy clique who had the information on all of this, in Bebe Robozo, Nixon's banker in running the funds which Howard Hughes was investing in Nixon's campaign.

Hughes was so in tune with the probabilities of the assassination of Robert Kennedy, that on the night of the event, Hughes was in the process of buying the entire DNC to control it and perhaps run for President himself.

It all comes back to the Dick Tuck observations that Watergate was a patrician operation over trying to destroy capitalist American concentrated wealth operating for the American people in going after Howard Hughes and getting Nixon in the process.
That is what was behind Iran Contra being set up against Ronald Reagan, and it was what was behind Plamegate to get Dick Cheney in the fall out.
