An act of Job
The Book of Job is one that without the Tiger Lily I would have remained fearful of, as in reading it in parts, it never made a great deal of sense, and from the myriads of always experts commenting on that book, they missed completely what was in that book and what was taking place.
Job is the prototype of the Godly Life in a person being protected and hedged in by the Life provided in prosperity and peace, if one leads a Moral Life, for in that Law is Wisdom and one then leads in a community on all levels and is able to provide for the poor and sick.
In that the book opens with Heaven in the Spiritual in Holy Angels presenting themselves before the Father and satan coming too.
This is where the challenge comes from God in the purpose of showing satan who would be God by theft, that the free Gift of these physical humans who become Spirits in the Family of God, are superior in their weakness as perfected by God's Care.
satan challenges back that God has given Job a perfectly protected life, and if God stopped, then Job would curse God.
God allows this attack from satan in stealing all Job was given, his children all dead and his servants mostly murdered.......and still Job did not curse God, but said what God gives He has the right to take away.
Again satan is before God with the Holy Angels and God challenges satan again in the Truth that satan was wrong and Job was still Faithful even without prosperity and family.
satan then challenges with "skin for skin", meaning if Job was really ill, then he would turn on God.
God allows this, but not to death.
Job is covered with boils, scrapes himself and his skin is black, but he still will not curse God as his wife informs him so he can die.
It is at this point that the reality of the Book of Job comes into being and is lost.
satan is there in this book as Job's wife entices him to commit suicide in cursing God so the misery would end, but Job keeps his integrity and lives in hope.
Job has 3 friends arrive after all have abandoned him, but the reality is as the Tiger Lily was Inspired by God, is these 3 friends are used by satan, because they in each speech taunting Job, state it is Job who is the sinner, iniquity is in him and that God has Judged him, and this is why Job has lost all.
They accuse Job in his misery that this is his fault in some hidden sin when it is not the case in the least.
What these 3 friends should have done was show Love in having compassion on Job in mourning with him over what has happened and not did a worse act in degrading him and punishing him worse.
Job does not accept their taunts and refutes them, but in this it is revealed the nature of Job in there are two kind of Love or compassion.
It is easy to be a Christian when one has millions of dollars, people smile at you, you have respect and you are the one doing the good deeds and others are the ones in despair being humiliated in having to accept that charity.
This is what Job had overlooked in his status a man of God. One can do good and be caught in the vanity of doing good, even if it is for all the Christian reasons.
Job actually does enfold the dichotomy that God does destroy evil people, but yet God allows evil people to accumulate fortunes and have children around to spend them. By the same ordeal, the righteous do live in poverty and humiliation when they are promised a good life.
In this, is the Wisdom that satan afflicts the Righteous and satan does reward evil people with good things to destroy them and keep good things horded from Good people.
This is what God is teaching in Job, in there are two forces at work in this world in God's Plan. God's Good and satan's evil, and people jumping to conclusions about goodness or sin, as the disciples questioning Jesus about the Tower of Silaom falling on people and killing them in what kind of sinners they were, was not about sin, but something which took place.
In Job, we see that satan controls bandits, the weather and a house collapse, and, in disease afflicting Job.
Goodness can use evil, but the same evil can utilize natural forces and goodness to murder and afflict innocent people, who God is in the process of refining to be more perfected.
It is at this point that Elihu a fourth friend speaks in pointing all of this out to Job, after Job trusts in his morality and blames God for what has taken place. Elihu states that God has His purposes greater than people can comprehend. That all is not as we think, but God knows how to bring all things to the best outcome for us.
Job does confess he will have a better eternal Life, but in his misery he is not looking at redemption in this world as all is lost. Job's friends are looking toward only physical fortune being restored and Job is looking at future Spiritual fortune, but God is looking at the present in melding the physical restoration and future Spiritual Promise which Job has Faith in.
It is then, that God speaks to Job out of the whirlwind and scolds him. Job then confesses his not understanding and professes he will shut up and be scolded as he wills to know the reasoning of God, as that Wisdom is what will bring him Life.
God tells Job to stand up and be a man, and then God joins a parable which is so important as God links man to the hippopotamus or behemoth, who is master of this physical world and on the Sword of Him can contend with this master on earth.
That Sword is Jesus the Christ, the Living Word Whose Word is a Two Edged Sword. This is what has been missed by the entire study of Job.
Next God speaks of leviathan or the serpent of the waters, meaning of the many peoples on the planet where "satan walks to an fro" as where the book of Job begins. satan in the last verse of chapter 41 is stated is the king over all the children of PRIDE.
You have heard that pride goeth before the fall. Proverbs is full of this warning. That is what brought Job to this point in his moral existence in he was proud of his moral actions.....satan was full of beauty and wisdom and was filled with pride too in what brought it's fall.
The last chapter is the one which makes the complete picture of Truth in Christian Life, for in it, God scolds Job's friends for what they did in inflicting on him, and how Job accounted himself better.
God commands the friends to go to Job and offer up sacrafices and at that Job will pray for them.
It is only after Job intercedes for them that God restores Job to more Grace and prosperity than before.
One must understand, that this is the "other" compassion or Love. The Mercy which God commands more than rich offerings. The helping others not from a position of power as Job had in doing things for the poor and sick, or offering for his children as they might have sinned, but the praying for other Christians who have heaped upon us burning coals of hurt in our worst afflictions.......and then doing this when there is nothing in it for us, no promise of fortune or health, but because it is the right thing to do as Christ does.
This must be clear as some idiot reading this has satan already whispering things about forgiveness. God was not having Job pray for the people who murdered his household nor robbed him, nor those who mocked him when he was covered with boils. This was about praying for just men who were enticed by satan in their ignorance in thinking just because Job was in trouble it was his sin or God Judged him evil.
This was more than worldly ease as the friends and Job saw the blessings of God.
Job did not suffer abuse from his friends when satan was using them. Job did though listen to Elihu in pointing out God is greater than what we can fathom in scolding Job for blaming God and for trusting in his goodness.
All of this is about people in Job, from the Spritual forces greater than the physical. About the dichotomy of evil people prospering and good people suffering and evil people Judged and good people being given Grace.
It is about a hippo of humanity lording over the world and the serpent of satan terrorizing all in ruling over people in their pride of their thinking they are good and deserve good things, when God is Good and He decides the goodness He bestows and how in teaching us the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Cain in pride judged he was doing God a favor by how good Cain was. Abel came to God in humbleness knowing God Judges all and God is the One Who favors people in His Goodness.
All of this is expounded upon in the Book of Job, and the Reality of Christ, as the Tiger Lily pointed out Job in his last intercession was a Christ figure in complete compassion in interceding for the sins of others when they did not know what they did.
There is a difference in this though too in Christ took on all sins and Job took on no sins. Job though was a Christlike advocate for good people enticed by satan.....once again, not the murderers and robbers. Good people though WHO OBEYED GOD IN COMING TO JOB in an act of repentance and were not sitting at home making Job crawl to them.
This is the study of Job, and as my concordance has the most brilliant of minds in thousands of years studying this, and they missed all of this, this is the first time in human history this has been recorded by Inspiration from God in a Bible study for you in troubling times when it seems God has gone, friends are blaming you and there is nothing left but doing the right thing, because that is what a Christian is.......doing the moral thing when all it is, is you doing it.
