Dear Mr. Savage,
I respectfully submit to you, Mr. Savage, something to assist in what Dr. Falwell was attempting to convey to you about the way to God, which is not as you theorized it as spokes in a wheel to a hub of God at the center.
There is a matter of Faith in this Mr. Savage which is not any human placing themselves as God in deciding, we can reject the Truth just because of how we view things in this world. In that, you spoke of good people and evil people, in the same way Job did, and yet good people suffer and evil people prosper for a time.
The reality is Abraham was justified not because he was rich or a good person, but Abram became Abraham as named by God, because he believed what God told him.
The mystery of God is profound for He is so Alive that even His Thought, which is Who "Jesus" is, becomes alive as much as Their Presence in the Holy Spirit is Alive, as God is a Creation Force.
That is Who Jesus is, or people do not comprehend in His 30 year manifestation as becoming in part the people He created in the Father's Will, so that people who have a soul in them, in the Breath of Life from God can if they choose, become sown by God's Presence and become His Spiritual Children, the Children of God.
Jesus as the Thought of the Father, is who Abraham believed in as much as Adam and Eve, and all who believed the Gospel or Message in the Old Testament, that the Creator God would one day bring about a New Covenant in which the Old Testament only trained people to be ready for this transformation by keeping the Law through discipline.
The Law proves that all people can never be perfect and that is why the Creator Christ, was sown into one of the most remarkable Women of the ages, in Mary, because she believed the Message from the Archangel in she would have a child by the miraculous workings of God's Holy Spirit in her.
The Old and New Testament are marriage contracts, and just as with your wife, neither of you can go to anyone else and fulfill your vows, Christ in being Creator is the only One Who could bring people back to that place if they choose to become Spiritual Children.
This is not about 4/5ths humans or people not measuring up, because this is not a physical dimension Christ speaks of, but the Spiritual, as all degrade and die here, as that is what this dimension was designed for. Earth is an incubator meant to start a process to translate humans to Spiritual Children.
This can not be accomplished by Moses, Muhammad, Buddha or the Pope, because no teacher or human has that Authority to transform people. Only God can bring people to that Spiritual transformation, and God's Thought in Creating all, is the only Conduit Who has Authority like you and your wife in this marriage contract called collectively the Bible.
That is all Abraham in Covenant was doing was entering into a marriage contract of Spiritual Nature with God, and that is all Jesus was doing in Communion in building upon that Covenant in remembering that only sacrificial death can pay for death, and Christ simply is the Elohim or Family Presence of God Who could lay down His Life and take it up again, so He has Authority to give Life to all Who accept those terms.
It is all inclusive, but people are given free will as just like your wife would not want you if she had to have you chained to her to keep you, people can choose if they want fame, money, sex, drugs or anything that indulges the body to be who they reflect. If one choose physical things, then one becomes them and dies eternally because those things do not last.
The same is the reality of inferior spiritual things in religions which promise an enlightenment without God. That is an inferior thing and it will not be eternal either.
Mr. Savage, you spoke of something which you did not know in "uniting religions" as your purpose. The Old Testament and New Testament speak of something just like that. They mentioned Nimrod and in Daniel they point to an Antiochos Epiphanes, who in the New Testament are called the anti Christ. That person according to signs, is alive in our generation and he will be an Obama type character with miracles forging the thought of the world to a universal mandate. He will appeal to all, and betray all, in a most deadly way.
I will not go into details in this, as the point is Mr. Savage, your purpose in this life is to be led to that relationship with God in Faith like Abraham and not trusting in your brilliance, but in the simple Way, Truth and Life which God has taught through the Law, the Prophets and in the message of Christ which brought this full circle.
Religion is a barrier to a relationship with God, as someone always is condemning others who are not following their interpretation.
It is a matter of Faith and Belief for that is where inwardly this is sown and grown in the soul of people.People can only become as God intends in being like Him, by accepting His terms and then uniting with Him as He intends as that is what a soul was designed for.
It is that remarkable Faith in believing this Promise would take place which the Patriarchs of the Old Testament were redeemed by. It was this Faith in those who say God's Christ and believed who were redeemed by, and it is this Faith in all since, who accepting the terms of this contract are redeemed.
The blood of the Passover lamb lasted one year in wiping out the sins confessed. Christ's blood in being the Creator in bridging that gap to humanity wipes out all sins permanently in Faith before in Abraham , Faith during Jesus time and Faith during our time. Each of us daily has to be Lawful in living a moral life, as Grace gives no one a license to sin, but being so moral, we receive that Promise this is something no one can earn, but is a Gift from God in Love to all who accept this.
It is thee most beautiful story ever, and thee most perfectly laid out, as God in His Wisdom made something for all and defined it by Faith to save all no matter the dimensional vanishing point the person was living in.
You are a good person Mr. Savage and it is difficult for loving people like yourself to submit to a reality where God says, people are free to choose and if they choose their own way and process, then they will not receive eternal Life, as that is not God's plan. Yet Mr. Savage, you do have terms like that in your marriage in both your wife and yourself have to obey the rules or else it is not a marriage, but adultery as it would be bringing in every person's ideas of how you or your wife should act to their advantage.
I sincerely hope that in God's Grace this helps explain what Dr. Falwell was not explaining completely. Christians do tend to quote the New Testament, when they should realize that the message of Christ is in the Old Testament in who the Apostles convinced the Jews first, the Israelites in exile next as James wrote to, and then the other Semites, Japhethites and Hamites that all are called as in Noah's or Abraham's day, but few are chosen.
Your compassion for others is praiseworthy, but it is God Who is compassionate in teaching that we are to concern ourselves with our relationship with God, inform others if called to, but to always shine His Compassion as an example to others, and not be weighed down by the Judgment of people, as no one can look on the heart of anyone and no one can look on the actions of others and decide what kind of person they truly are.
That is God and we are but His creations and do not have the ability to fully discern the other creations in who is God's and who is not.
