Français du Arc Granola

My children, I do not want you to die eating the poisons which will afflict you as food prices are spiked for various cartel reasons and you will gravitate toward the poison rations in your Walmart which are designed to subdue and kill you. You must be peasant in understanding how to eat pleasing food which is going to stretch and not consume your stores by pig eating foods which your body will not digest.

In reality, the human body is not built  for multiple things ingested at the same time. It dislikes numerous things in complicated recipes.

I provide for you, a Joan du Arc recipe, as Jehanne is honored here and I based this on a stolen French recipe which is idiot and needs some American feminine Inspiration to make it be frugal and good.

Most granola recipes have oil in them, which is fine in some ways, but oils go rancid in time, and the idea here is to make something which will last for a bit. Cinnamon is a preservative if you did not know that and by putting it into recipes it helps stop fungal things from starting up to a point, as does salt. Nutmeg was used to make things rancid taste edible to humans, and is why it was such a popular thing in the spice trade.

If you want the original horse feed, go here:

This is the Joan adaptation.

5 cups rolled oats
1 cup  almonds in coffee grinder to fine stage, but not butter
1 cup sunflower seeds, likewise ground
1/2 cup  packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon canning salt

3/4 cup  unsweetened fruit sauce you create in a blender from apple, pear, peach etc....
1/3 cup rice syrup and or make your own in a half and half brown sugar and water mixture on the stove, in other words just add another 1/4cup of brown sugar with 1/4 cup of water to make a syrup.
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup  honey
2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 cup golden raisins or currants (if you like, roll them in yogurt and sugar and then coat them with ground almonds)
1/2 cup dried chopped fruit of whatever your heart desires which is not sulfur coated. Figs, peaches, apples, mango etc...

Preheat the oven to 300F

1. In a very large bowl, mix together the flaked grains or oats, almonds, sunflower and sesame seeds, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and salt.
2. In a small saucepan, warm the fruit puree with the syrup, honey, vanilla and oil.
3. Mix the fruit mixture into the dry ingredients until thoroughly dispersed, then divide and spread the mixture evenly on two baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
4. Bake the granola for 45 minutes, stirring every ten minutes, until the granola is deep golden brown.
5. Add fruit to mixture, toss.
6. Remove from oven, then cool completely.
Store the granola in a large, airtight containers. Containers in not all your eggs in one basket to spoil.

All of that stew meat, sardines, oysters etc... used to be peasant food, but has been inflated. You have to learn to eat what is cheap but not poisonous. You can make good food to make your soul happy when your heart is sad. Is very important to your psychology in keeping Faith and Hope alive.

PS: You can make your own "Sweet Meats" as in English sugar preserved vegetables like tomatoes and fruits. It takes some time and packing fruit in sugar, discording mold, and reheating syrup, but it is possible to create your own preserved fruit which will last 3000 years in a jar this way. I have done it with pear tomatoes and one can not tell they are tomatoes, but are more like a dried gummy bear cherry.

You better know this stuff, should have already stocked up on non poison flour, rolled oats, dried fruits and sugar with canning salt.
