The lesson this week is on 666 or the mark of the beast as spoken of in Revelation 13:16 –18.
The explanation for most of this is in that same chapter, 13, in Revelation.
Jesus has revealed that in the next few years that the devil will succeed in bringing about a United Europe and give it great power and authority. It is the same Common Market of many of our youths or in it’s published stage now is called the EU or European Union.
This reformed Roman Empire will have great authority and world power dictating to the entire world how it will be governed. It will be such an absolute “caesar” type rule in the genre of Hitler’s Third Reich that this government will put to death all who do not swear allegiance to it.
This brings us to the mark of the beast or what I will refer to from now on as the identification tag of this government which will make more sense to most people.
This tag is called a mark or inscription which is stamped onto the right hand or forehead of every citizen.
This identification will have the benefit to the person of employment, purchasing power and selling rights of their goods or services. In other words, people who agree to follow this government will prosper immensely.
This id stamp will be either the name of the government or it’s numeral identity, better known as 666. It is also the number of a man’s name.
To understand the 666, you have to look outside of English for its source. See English is part of the Indo European family of languages which uses both numbers and letters separately. See, it was the Hindu’s who actually had the numbers we use today.
Hebrew, Phoenician and Greek though use a different alphabet which actually has numbers assigned to its letters. Think of it like Roman Numerals X is 10 and L is 50 for something You are familiar with.
Actually, this number alphabet is known to You and it has seeped into English and You use it every day. The sentence, “I went to a store and bought a bag of groceries and a checkout girl rang it up.” Is this numerical system. The letter “a” in these languages is assigned the number 1….so in saying a store, a bag and a checkout girl You are saying, “I went to 1 store and bought 1 bag or groceries and 1 checkout girl rang it up.”
Pretty simple stuff.
The 666 though is simply adding up the letters in Hebrew or Greek to calculate the number of this government which just happens to be the number of a certain man’s name.
For instance, George Bush is 466 points. If You add the middle name of Walker, You get 628.
Way too much attention is spent by ignorants with this in Hollywood with people having tattoos on their heads or other such nonsense. It really is not going to be to hard to figure it out when this government has millions of people stamped for identification. It will be rather obvious to see then.
I would like to address though some things as to why people would be so willing to be a part of being stamped. Look at the fright which has come about in America since the September attacks. We have people willingly talking now of national id cards to weed out terrorists so we will be kept safe.
It is not so hard to see a time in the future when atomic bombs have blown up cities that people will do just about anything to keep alive…even if it means swearing allegiance to a government and denying God so they can be kept safe and prosper.
Because make no mistake about it, in verse Revelation 13:4 it plainly states the awe the world’s people have for this powerful government for they marvel, “Who is able to make war against it?”
The problem is the fact though that this devil instituted government which actually makes war on Christians around the world. It denies God completely and in the book of Daniel the leader (anti christ) of this reformed Empire actually worships a god of forces whom his fathers never knew.
In the coming years, there is going to have to be a literal outward decision of whether each of us chooses God or the world system. The days of it being easy to be a Christian and keeping God around will be over.
And before some of the people think the mark will not be such a bad thing…..read the verse in Revelation 16:2 “So the first angel went and emptied the bowl of God’s wrath and indignation on the earth and foul and painful ulcer sores came upon the people who were stamped with the mark of the beast.”
You will find this same plague poured out upon the Egyptians when God put boils upon them when they would not let His People, our forefathers, out of Egypt in Exodus 9:10,11.
These boils or ulcers are also of the curses in Deuteronomy 28:35 upon those who choose to sin over creating a life right with God.
I hope this helps explain “the mark of the beast and 666”, since there is a straight forward explanation in God’s Word.
The majority of us will live to see this stamp implemented willingly upon a lot of people, because we have entered into the last days now. The inertia of events will continue to pick up momentum from now on. There is no turning back.
America has entered into the punishment phase, because God has warned her and now it will come.
Please do not be afraid though because Jesus will keep You safe as long as You stay with Him in the Light. Psalm 23 is His guarantee. He is our Shepherd who has already proven He will lay down His life to save us. Jesus will attend to each of us during this time.
As I always say, The storm is coming, but trust in the safety of Jesus. It is not that long before His rainbow of Promise will be seen on the other side.
