There is at issue an unnoticed and unreported story except for Pravda being proud of things Vladamir Putin, but it is behind all of those interesting stealth visits on the US east coast of nuclear warhead visits off America's most populace cities and in the US Gulf.
The main culprit appears to be the KARP, a Reagan Gorbachev era stealth submarine with a titanium hull, which NATO called the SIERRA CLASS of submarines. They were previously retired in the last century, but slowly the four boats are coming back online for the northern Russian fleet.
What makes these nuclear powered and armed submarines insteresting is one of them pulled a Crazy Ivan several years ago in Asia with a Los Angeles class American nuclear submarine and it totaled the American submarine.
The KARP though sailed home, pulled the dents out and went back into service.
These submarines are the best in the world in they have titanium hulls, and quite expensive. There were four built and after the Yeltsin disarmement were beaten into moth balls, but now under Presdient Putin the fleet is returning to strength.
They are magnificient boats in holding a 25 man crew in tight quarters. Their speed submerged at crusie speed is some of the best in the world. The Russians have bragged they set a world record of 43 knots with one of these titanium hulls, and that is a remarkable speed for a submarine.
What is alarming about these boats is being titanium, they can stalk deeper than US submarines due to the hull strength. They are quieter and as America has been finding out with ICBM launches from Chinese submarines off California and the stealth patrols of Putin's Navy in American waters, there is a gap now in sub warfare and in nuclear terms it is a grave danger.
The Karp and Kostrama currently in service are deemed aircraft carrier killers and with their torpedoes and Stallion 200 kiloton depth charges they indeed are US Navy annihilators. That though is not the problem with these stalking horses, as it is what can be done with not just the Stallion nuclear depth charge, but what can be accomplished with the Sampson 200 kiloton nuclear warhead.
For reference the American bombs in Japan to end World War II were in the 15 kiloton range. These boats are carrying at least 4 SS N 21 missiles and Starfish anti submarine torpedoes along with the nuclear depth charges.
They thrill might be stalking off United States coastal cities or hunting aircraft carrier groups, but these subs appear to be icebreakers, and in the Arctic, the interesting part is they can sail from frozen Russian ports and if they choose break ice in Hudson's Bay, have a three minute flight of nuclear missiles to almost any place in an arc from Atlanta to Denver, and be back out to ocean depths in less than day.
In further analysis, the Russians have a protocol of using nuclear weapons in not direct attack on adversaries proper, but have a mission statement of detonating nuclear bombs in the ocean front property making a serveral hundred foot high tsunami which would wash a city like New York away.
Now as a occupant of 1600 Penn Avenue, does one retaliate with a nuclear strike if one loses only one democratic city in a tidal wave caused by a nuclear bomb, which would bring a full Russian response of a thousand nuclear warheads or does one keep it conventional and just attempt to flood a Rusisan city...........protected by a sheet of ice on it's ports.
That is called nuclear checkmate and it is what Vladamir Putin is doing with flexible Obama.
This is no game, and all the Soviet experts went on to become Muslim experts and no one is minding the store on Eurasian comrades, nor dealing with their superior abilities.
The Karp class is faster, runs deeper, and can sit for weeks in American waters as it has proven the ability to do.
This blog notes, as it has a long memory, about the days when the KGB had forward located nuclear bombs on American soil for a first strike. Few have the memory capacity as they were not there when catepillar tracks were found in the California bays of Soviet underwater intrusions on the shores of American cities.
It has been proven possible for the Russian Navy to operate undetected in American waters, as well as the Chinese submarine fleet in firing off ICBM's in response to Obama trying to make India a menace to the Asians.
Within a few years, there will be four of these titanium submarines operational again. With prepositioned nuclear devices, caches of material, these submarines could easily kill the United States Navy, US forward bases across the globe and an estimated 25 million Americans without dropping one bomb on American soil.
If Russia chose to, the numbers would arise to 75 million, and a series of EMP crippling wave which would shut down the United States power grid.
I will remind the children that under Bill Clinton, and oil imports from Russia, as Clinton fixed the Russian Sunburn hypersonic aircraft killer missile system, that President Putin then used that money to build a survival city for the Russian leadership in a mountain.
In real terms, Obama and his regime would survive a Russian strike, but all of America would be no more except for the military structure. Mr. Putin though will do more than survive, as he will have most of his military and population in a constructive survival mode.
There is a reason Mr. Putin is breathing to life his titanium fleet again. This should never have been allowed and yet Mr. Obama has agreed to such a thing as Mr. Putin responds to the machinations of this 3rd world Obama at 1600 Penn Avenue.
Must I now become the expert on Mr. Putin and the Kremlin too as you huddle around the flaming fires of Dianne Feinstein's twat as she rubs Obama's gun control to ignite the diversionary enticements of licking flames on the dark skin of the night.
Once again, no one is making this an issue as you are lulled to sleep.
