Always, I have programs running in the background, and one such program is chess. I have three versions and am fascinated how each is different in the human level imprint that I have to react to.
The one I utilize most is one I got for free from Softdisk Publishing and I remember the first time I defeated the program, that I kept thinking it was a trap as I had played a dozen times and failed miserably as I'm self taught in chess and I play most unorthodox.
Any way, this game is built in a way to defeat it by always attacking, and to cripple it according to Lame Cherry protocols, in one always tidies up their battlefield and in chess, the ponies are dangerous, so you take your opponent's knights, cripple them by taking one bishop, and then trade piece for piece and trust in your ability to deal in mano mano to fight it out.
I run these games as it takes long to load things, and as I write I need a diversion as I do not listen to music as I used to. TL is my song.
As I was playing this version today, I know it's moves in attack and I know when I get it pinned that it goes Crazy Ivan, or it starts taking pieces to save the Queen. Problem is as I was playing the above, I noticed something odd in it started playing stupidly. It was throwing the game, and it just does not do that.
A program can not change, and yet this one just played dead, and that of course made me ponder the Star Trek episode when Kirk was facing court martial for the death of a person named Finney in getting him killed.
Spock in the episode is playing chess and Bones comes in ranting about Spock not caring about Kirk and Spock relates how he has just won his third game.
The explanation being that Spock had programmed the computer for chess and would only ever be able to play to a draw in his own ability.
That meant someone had been in the Enterprise computer tampering with evidence, and it was Finney faking his own death to destroy Kirk.

The point in this being how could a program I know from playing thousands of games in a reckless manner as I try different strategies, would it go into a mode that it should not, in playing absolutely not at a championship level?

I ponder in having only one fear in any of this, and that is I will find some junk store Star Trek The Original Series for a few dollars, find a DVD player, then find a large old big screen television, hook it all up for like 8 dollars and then find that Star Trek was not as appealing as I remembered as a child in utilizing it as an escape from my misery.

Stanley Ann Dunham really did get her revenge on America, but she was right in dumping Barry Soetoro as the kid never had the macho to really go for the jugular. Perhaps the Jinn in high places can remedy all of that in showing these humans what to do for sport.

The weather gods of HAARP appear as was published here to have run into bitchy people about rain, and things are drying as God intended in the drought predicted here. Should make wheat as moisture is there, but that late corn and beans will be a bugger if this sets in as was inquired of.
