How often do you hear of the Illinois Indians of America? You probably have no idea there was a mass tribal group of Algonquins who inhabited America, and it should puzzle you to what happened to them....and do not make the assanine conclusion that it was white people who were their run.
The reality is as this blog has noted, there was in the east when white people arrived from England, France, Spain and Holland, that a group of Iroquois were in the midst of genocide against other tribes.
They were punished by the French for terrorizing the French in America, and soon enough became a power in American Empire in trading with Dutch, French and English Empires.
In 1680, they crossed the Illinois river for definitive reasons. They had plundered their own resources for the trade of firearms and brandy now a necessity to the Indians. They then embarked on a push to the west having little left in the Great Lakes to plunder as those destroyed tribes were under French protection.
The reality is in this the plundered Indians had lands they had abandoned and in them the Iroquios saw opportunity in beaver skins and trade, which the French were not pushing into new country in the discovery of the Mississippi.
It was in that genocide that the Iroquois slammed into the Illinois bands of that now named state and drove them back from those lands.
The Iroquois were a martial people. I believe they are a mix of the Phoenician traders with these east Asian immigrants termed Indians. They were more adept in taking on advanced civilized natures, keying on the Vikings in the year 1000 AD having put their own colonies into America.
It was this group which was dominating and destroying other groups. Let us examine this in the Illinois were like other tribes, but they were lazy and cowardly. Look now at the explanation of this group of aboriginals in they were more licentious. They had no moral compass and were sexual perverts.
