Did you ever ponder with the myriad of blacks free in the north and south during the Civil War, as to why none rose up to be military leaders or political leaders who went beyond just lip service for emancipation?
Think of it, in millions of potential political allies, military recruits and those clergy offering donation plate heaps of cash, and no blacks arose to exploit any of that.
