Ecclesiasticus, Joshua, son of Sirach

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

In that pile of books TL obtained, I laid into the volumes a Good News Bible which included the Catholic texts. I never have had much acceptance of the books, as you can feel just how Babylonian Jew they are written, like words coming from Meathead Reiner on a Bill Maher, bash Americans segment.

My first exposure to the books was the Book of Wisdom at a Catholic funeral. I sat listening skeptical and soon concluded, this is just a lesser version of Proverbs. I have since rescued people from one big ass Catholic bible and now this modern version, as I like having a Living or modern text to compare to the King James and Amplified, which were the ones I utilized in the brier patch. I no longer have them and what I deal with now is a New American Standard and this Good News for plugging away.

Sirach is another one of these Catholic books of either odd stories of history or common sense. Sirach is called Ecclesiasticus or Joshua the son of Sirach. Yes they try that Jesus thing in the Greek, but that only confuses things, as Jesus was Joshua in Hebrew, and it is just easier to give Him the Glory of that name.....no matter what Catholic literature or Spanish Haseusse is parading around in a name like Jesus.

I am going to give you some quotes though which are common sense and not God's Wisdom. It is fitting it is Ecclesiasticus like Ecclesiastics, as this is the line where the human mind can only reach without God's Wisdom.

Sirach 3:30

Giving to the poor can make up for sin, just as water can put out a blazing fire.

First Peter 4:8 is the Holy Ghost Inspired verse in charity covers up a multitude of sins.

Sirach 6:13

Stay away from your enemies and be on guard against your friends.

Psalm 55 is the warning of this from the Holy Ghost in the betrayal by those you trust.

Sirach 7:9

Don't think that God Most High is going to take into account how very generous you are and so accept any offering you decide to make.

Genesis 4:5 in the beginning confirmed by Holy Ghost Inspiration that God did not accept Cain's offering as Cain thought he was being generous to God and God should accept how wonderful Cain was. God did not accept the bribe of a sinner though.

That very much sums up the reality in life as much as "friends" in Sirach 6, as you can not buy real friends with your money or your good will. In the same way, that money you have is............

Well what does Sirach chapter 4 verses 4 - 6 remind the rich of.

Don't refuse to help a beggar who is in distress. Don't turn your back on a poor person or give him any reason to curse you. If he becomes so bitter that he does curse you, his Creator will hear his prayer.

Psalm 34:6, This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

Yes the Scripture is full of warnings not to leave widows, orphans or the poor in their misery, if you are rich. Remember the rich man and Lazarus in the outcome of that life long torture of a poor man.

That really is the pity in all of this, in Catholics with their Pater Pope, actually have more common sense than most people professing to be Christ's own. There are definitive points which trigger Judgment on a nation and they list as a group of abominations:

1. Not honoring God.

2. Not treating others as you would be treated.

3. Preying upon or neglecting the poor, widows, orphans and homeless.

4. Courts in which the people can find no justice.

5. Sexual deviants either murdering their children or sodomizing others.

It is easier to end something before it has begun. This is for the rich. How many people today are cursing you as you drive by in your nice car, choke them with your perfume, blind them with bling, shut your garage door to your mansion?
Do you really think your smiling preacher who gives you no thought unless he wants something from you, or your family whose joy in you is only kindled by ever larger sums of money, or your banker, charity, friends speak one word good for you or to God?

Yes rich people the condemnation is in you by your actions. You always have enough money for the gaming tables, junkets to show how generous you are, poses for photos in the media, but where it counts, there is not one little poor girl or boy, thanking God for you.

I warn you rich people, that what you trust in is futile. Money buys your reward here, and not in eternity. You donate when you do donate wrong in taking the honor or you do it stingily. There is no joy in your giving and you act like a few dollars is worse than donating a kidney.

The value you place on others, is the same value which you will be weighed with.

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to get into Heaven.

Rich people must come to a reality in one does not buy their way into Heaven. One gives their way into Heaven, by first giving themselves over to complete subjection to the Father through Jesus and secondly by giving to the poor, the widow, the orphan, the sick.

None of my writings are featured in Vatican books nor expressed in Protestant pulpits, but it is a reality of Inspiration from God's Holy Ghost......

"You give your way into Heaven. You do not buy your way into Heaven."
