Yesterday which would be my Friday eve, and today which is now your Sunday as I type this, Shaun had asked me a question about the 70 weeks of Daniel and specifically the final 7 years which are yet to be completed.
I mentioned that the 70 weeks were a measure of time and one of God's Mysteries. I admit that I have a great deal of things I know, things stored away forgotten and things which I have not inquired of yet from God. Sometimes when it is important to the Holy Ghost, He revisits subjects with me as He directed this morning in opening to the Prayer of Daniel in seeking information from God in understanding and the explanation of the 70 weeks by the Holy Angel of God.
In verse 24 in Daniel chapter 9, the Holy Ghost by the Holy Angel explains exactly why the 70 weeks are set. It has to do with INIQUITY.
In the Bible, there are dual accounts of such things, and it is relevant for America, the western Europeans and the world for the final 7 years before Jesus return, because it has to do like the Canaanites and the Sodomites, in their "iniquity was not yet full" or so reprehensible and with so few Faithful people in the world, that God's Judgment would be poured out in wrath to the last drop.
Daniel 9:24 King James Version
"Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy."
Daniel 9:24 Amplified Version.
"Seventy weeks of years, or 490 years are decreed upon your people and upon your holy city Jerusalem, to finish and put an end to transgression, to deal up and make full the measure of sin, to purge away and make expiation and reconciliation for sin, to bring in everlasting Righteousness or permanent moral and Spiritual rectitude, in every area and relation, to seal up vision and Prophecy and Prophet, and to annoint a Holy of Holies."
You must understand the above verse is in two parts. The sin and then the coming of Christ to pay for all of that sin.
That is the key to the 490 years or 70 weeks. It is all about the people or the heirarchy at Jerusalem had not become so fully reprobate until the Advent of Jesus. It was only then, that John the Baptist appeared preparing the way, and for Christ's Redemption to be initiated.
You must understand what the Jews were in the year 0. They were all appointed by Rome in the leadership. In Jesus time, only two men are mentioned who are in the Sanhedrin who even remotely are Faithful in Joseph of Aramathea and Nicodemus.
The Jewish High Council was a group of Roman agents who would murder Jesus to save their seats in the Jewish regime. This group had two divisions in the Saducees who did not believe in God's Promise of Resurrection and the Pharisees who did away with the Promise for washing their hands properly.
Judea was ruled not by Jewish monarchs, but Edomite Roman appointed hedonists of the Herod line, and the Jews claimed these foreigners and welcomed them to rule them.
For the reality of this, Saul of Tarsus, before his conversion, was the prime example of "religion" in Jewry in he was a most regulated man, and he was sent out to murder all the Christians and was doing it so effectively that Jesus had to show up on the road to Damascus and blind Paul to get his attention and convert him to Christianity, after Jesus had risen to the Right Hand of the Father in Heaven.
This might sound like nothing for the modern person, but it has everything to do with who you are now in this apostate world. The reason the last 7 years are reserved is so the cup of God's Wrath is filled to be poured out, for all of the sins you are committing and condoning.
That is what Daniel was informed of, that not until those first 69 weeks expired, would the Jews be so apostate that destruction of them would be the only remedy, exactly like the Canaanites and the Sodomites. Jews like touting being the apple of God's eye.....that was a different period completely, and Jews like Israelites which Americans are kindred of, were divorced, exiled, planted and then grown up, and when the visitation of God's wrath comes upon the world in the Great Tribulation, it is because all of you are such sinful trash, that the only remedy for all of you is killing the majority of you.
It is evil to murder children. It is evil to be homosexual or any other sex sin which is outside of marriage between a husband and a wife. That alone is proof at how degenerate this world is that we now must include "husband and wife" as that has been so polluted by elements of satan.
Evil is how the west's courts are, the repression of the regimes, the absolute removal of God from our governments and lives. Those sins received Judgment from God in Israel, Judah, Canaan, Sodom and the sister cities, and those sins are going to receive Judgment in America and the world, and that is the last 7 year period before Christ returns, known as the End Times, Day of the Lord or Great Tribulation.
So the short answer to this is, the reason God reserved 69 weeks and a final 1 week, was for people to devolve into what they are carnally by their own choices, so that all of your sin can be visited upon all of you in national destruction.
70 years after Jesus, close to 40 years after he warned Jerusalem as Prophet in Matthew chapter 24, Jerusalem was destroyed by rape in letting in those Edomites to help defend her, and by the Roman legion sent by Titus to level that city.
That same Judgment is coming to the world and it is on schedule. That is the reason for the 70 weeks. It was Jewish sins and it is now American, English, French, Swedish and whatever else is in this world from Moscow, Peking, Tehran or Cairo, for all of you are wed to this world carnally and more filthy than Lot at Sodom.
