That which God has given Kelly McGillis

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

I really am displeased by those who take tragedy and warp it to their dreams of being raped or politics of any leverage for a fight. It is that view I take in the actress Kelly McGillis having known her past and how it references to an assault upon her in her North Carolina home.

There were those who were ranting liberalness at her to not defend herself, as those against people arming women are in camps who want to rape women and not be shot, or have fantasies of being raped and beat up.
Kelly McGillis has a greater past though.

"Mental illness takes many hostages. I don't know her name...but I would like to asked that you pray for her and her mother," McGillis wrote.
Later, she also posted a long essay on the reasons, including being the victim of other crimes, that she got a concealed-carry permit despite advice not to.
"For those of you on my feed that are telling me that getting a cc permit is not the best choice for me to make, well let me fill you in on a few things that have lead me to this decision. Which by the way, I have struggled over for a long long time. Not being pro gun fanatic. When I was 12 I was gang raped by three men."

It was heroic for a young girl to overcome the assault that Ms. McGillis did. Her life has been one of success in acting and in humanitarian work. Once again though her world was attacked and this remarkable American woman fought back.

What bothers me in this, is everyone who has been violated, knows how this trauma does not end with a few Facebook posts or a police report. Having violent people know your location and having the police prod around in your life, and then having the Obama regime ranting about gun ownership with Loretta Lynch making criminals of those who have firearms to defend themselves, and the NRA which elects more Democrats than not, are all not welcome as people just want to live their lives in peace.

I have never thought that owning firearms was anything fanatical, as Kelly McGillis noted she was not a fanatic. Arming oneself with a gun, a knife or a bat, is the right of life. The first right of every human to defend themselves. A firearm is the great emancipator for all. A gun for the 5.5 tall woman who weighs 120 pounds is the Colonel Colt equalizer against the 7 foot tall 300 pound giant. A gun is the equalizer when we are concerned with our cares in life and some assailant appears from the shadows. A gun is the virtue of a woman keeping her chastity and a man his blood, from the rapist and the murderer intent on that theft.

A gun is a private decision, as private as contraception, but where Planned Parenthood takes life without an FBI background check, people trying to protect themselves though with a firearm are not only kept waiting, but have the Obama regime and police state threatening them as if they are criminals.

There is a great decision and responsibility in self protection. When one accepts that 2nd Amendment Right in protecting oneself from assailant or regime or foreign enemy, it is a grave decision as marriage or military service, for one understands the responsibility involved in this sobering adult decision.

This is not something to be intruded on, castigated or politicized. This is the inherent right set down by the Founders of America, as all is based upon an armed American, protecting the Government from itself, the enemy within and without, and each Citizen.

It is treasonous, treachery and criminal to infringe or question the right of any American to self defense. That is the issue here and it is not politic, but God given.
