Why Jesus was Crucified

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

I noticed on Liberty Daily a link of what crime Jesus was accused of in why he as executed.

What Was the ‘Crime’ of Jesus that Got Him Crucified?

I was interested in this as in the archives here I have on past Easter's addressed this issue, as the reason Jesus was crucified, in a state execution, was so there would be an official state record of the Lamb of God dying, as that is why Jesus was sent by the Father, to lay down His Life as a ransom for many.
Jesus was the permanent Spiritual Passover lamb which would never have to be repeated as the yearly offering of the lamb in Passover. Jesus as the Thought of the Father, created all, so He was the only acceptable solution, in being perfect, to pay for the rebellion of humans against God.

To be condemned by inferior  world government and yes to be condemned by the Old Covenant by Jewry, in which only life for life could be payment for the original Covenant by Abraham with God where the Holy Ghost consumed the offering of the bull and the lamb, along with the test of Faith in Isaac being offered and God replacing Isaac with a ram, is the Law, and the New Covenant or Testament was the Gospel of Mercy and Grace, for the law brought the penalty of death by sin, but Christ brought the gift of redemption and life by the offering of Christ.

In understanding those realities, it comes to the above link on Town Hall, written by Jerry Newcombe. The article which Newcombe posted is absolute false. It is not what the Bible records nor teaches. It is typical of the vacuous theologian sources not Inspired by God.

The first false statement is that Jesus was killed by being scourged in he was in such horrid condition that the crucifying what ended His life as Pilate was surprised Christ was dead so soon.

Crucifixion was invented in the Near East and perfected by the Romans. It was not uncommon for a crucified victim to suffer for days. Pontius Pilate was surprised Jesus had died in only a few hours---however, He had been scourged so horribly that He could have bled to death, had He been released after the whipping.

Jesus is the Son of God, the Creator of Life. The above is not why Jesus died, as Jesus is recorded as crying with a loud voice after fulfilling all of the Law and the Prophets, and it was Christ who gave up His Spirit, meaning Christ decided how He died and when.
This fact is important as Christ has absolute power over sin, death, satan and the grave. His death was one where He was in control as He laid down His Life and took that Life up again, so that all who believe on Him will be restored to life eternal as He is.

Matthew 27:50

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

The next lie in this, is that the reason Jesus was executed was that he claimed to be King of the Jews. Jesus never claimed anything of the sort. The people had visions of an earthly Messiah who would be restored to David's Throne, but Jesus dissuaded all from this. This is what caused Judas to betray Christ in Judas was looking for a royal position and was disappointed when Jesus revealed His real purpose for being was His death.
The sign which Pilate placed above Christ as King of the Jews, had the elders fuming in demanding that Pilate change the title to, "He said", but Pilate left the sign as it was written.

The crucified victim had the crime he committed posted above his head. Crucifixion was like a living billboard---do what this fellow did and you too could end up like this.
In the case of Jesus, we’ve all seen the crucifixes with INRI above His head. This stands for Iesus Nazarenvs Rex Ivdaeorvm, Latin for Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews, as recorded in John’s Gospel.
His “crime” was claiming to be a king, a treasonous act in ancient Rome.

Scripture reveals exactly why Jesus was placed before Pilate, and that Pilate knew the Jews delivered Christ before Rome, because they envied the people adoring Christ.

Matthew 27:18

For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

It was the Jewish leaders which had the mob demanding Jesus be crucified. The elders were framing Jesus for a legal murder. They could not put anyone to death, and Rome would not put Christ to death for blasphemy in saying He was the Son of God, so the charge became before Pilate, that Christ was a King in conflict with Rome's king.

 Matthew 27:23

And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified

It was only after all of this, that Pilate agreed to execute Christ, because he was facing a riot which was being instigated by the Jews. Pilate had been a good  Military Governor. He had tried numerous times to placate the Jews, but they were always seeking ways to twist what he had done, to stir up the people for revolution and to report to Rome, as they had before, that Pilate was not governing correctly.
Pilate put the blood of Jesus on the Jews as Pilate washed his hands of this murder.  The Jews accepted the ruling and put the blood of the Innocent on themselves and their children.

Matthew 27:24

When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

The following quote from Town Hall is false as has been proven above by Scripture and history. The case against Christ only turned when Pilate knew he was about to have an insurrection begin, which would require Rome to call out the guards, a great deal of expense and bloodshed would take place, which would not please Rome, so Pilate concluded if the local vermin wanted to murder their own, that was of no concern of  Rome or himself.

Thus, Jesus’ claim to be the King of the Jews was His death sentence. Maier adds: “[Rex] was a term of opprobrium. It was somebody who was trying to subvert the masses…. And that is the charge that the prosecution made, which really turned the case as far as Pontius Pilate was concerned.”

Dr. Paul Maier

This ends with Scripture in why the Jewish elders were murdering Christ. It goes to the lessons the Jews learned previously that in order to protect their Roman appointed positions, it was required that they murder anyone who was a competitor or chosen by the people, as Rome would appear with a military and not just put down the revolt, but would kill the elders.
So for the Jews it was expedient to  frame Christ to save their regime appointed positions, meaning their own lives.

John 18:14

Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

To bastardize the Gospel or any part of the Bible with uninspired false teachings is a sin as it misleads people and that opens doors for satan and satan's minions to attack, and create more uncertainty in those who are already on shaky Spiritual ground.

There was not any crime which got Jesus executed. Jesus was murdered as it was expedient in Jews were saving their positions of power and Pilate was backed into a corner by these Jews, and to not cause himself anymore trouble, put the murder on the Jews, who were pleased to accept it.

That crime is important as Jesus was Prophesied to be numbered among criminals when executed, but an innocent among them, as Jesus was framed by false testimony.

All of these answers are in Scripture and if people would obey the command to study Scripture, they would by the Holy Ghost's Inspiration not be led astray by false teachings which opens the doors to more doubts. I had not intended to post an Easter lesson as I have been there and done that, but this had to be answered as it was completely incorrect, like the natterings of vacuous theologians like Bruce Chilton who are always arriving at new conclusions in their worldly conclusions.

St. John 1

29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

The Scripture reveals all and interprets itself. Anything that is not aligned with this, is not of God.
