As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
TL and I were called upon to set up security cameras on the place we were watching, and I for one have made it a point to not be smart phone literate, as I loathe people attached them like a mother's nipple.
It is so bad that TL will put up short cut links, so I do not have to navigate inside a phone. I literally was not verse in how to take a picture. I meant to be that way and I am upset that I have become more than versed in this pablum, as I try to forget what I know in having big Eve's apple.
In this, I have finally recouped a loss from the mother, in leaving me thousands of dollars of debt, and it has to do with cell phones. See she was being a real sadistic bitch, and as I was paying for her cellphone, I did not appreciate he using the phone like weapon. It was a menagerie of my having enough of it, that I simply locked the phone.
Her response was to say she "lost her phone", which upset me, and as I rummaged around, I discovered it hidden in her purse. I pretended to not find it, and several days later she "found' it. I of course asked her what the hell she did to the phone so it would not work, as I was not going to pay for people being asses to me anymore.
Short version, she went out and got another Samsung Tracfone, was not bright enough to know how to swipe it, and then she died. Leaving a worthless phone around here, as my phone was a little non smart phone which was for emergencies.
Well Tracfone via Verizon, has made my phone obsolete they tell me, and I had to buy a new phone. No I am not spending money I do not have, so in dinking around one night, I statted talking to Jean of Tracfone and next thing I knew she was walking me through IMEI and SIM, and my obsolete was transferred to my inheritance phone, as I said, the only thing I got out of that woman, but grief.
In looking at the phone, I noted that I had been kind and loaded some numbers into the contacts, but it was not all the contacts, and getting down to the letter J, the Holy Ghost said, "There has to be an easier way". so searching online, I came to several idiot sites, and then discovered the information below in using Bluetooth to transfer contacts, and I am sitting here, thankful to God, in I actually accomplished this, as illiterate as I am in smart phones by design.
Granted this is for Samsung to Samsung, and yes I am a fan of these wonderful Korean phones. The ones we have had are sturdy, have good platforms and processors, even in the cheap ones, and you can do all kinds of chit on them, which is too addictive.
It is quite fun to load a Google Ap, link up a security camera, and then watch things miles away, for security reasons. It certainly puts the scare into people who are real assholes.
In the following directions, the only thing which I had to do in addition was one phone the ATT had to get permission from the Tracfone in a log key, which is just clicking OK, from them to go from Bluetooth to direct connection. As it was our phones, no problem with that and when done I just turned off the Bluetooth.
Way 2: Via Bluetooth
Another valid way to transfer contacts from Samsung phone to Samsung phone is by using the phone’s Bluetooth function. To use this method here are the steps:
- Simply swipe down your Samsung phone and tap the “Bluetooth” icon to activate it.
- Next, get the Samsung phone that has the contacts to be transferred then go to “Phone” > “Contacts” > “Menu” > “Import/Export” > “Send namecard via”.
- A list of the contacts will be then showed and tap on “Select All Contacts”.
- Now Select “Bluetooth” and look for the phone where contacts are going to be transferred and select it.
- A small data file will be then transmitted from the old phone to the new one which is called vCard or vcf.
- All you need to do now is to accept the transfer of contacts in the new Samsung phone. It will begin transferring files automatically.
The file not only transferred automatically, but the contact lists updated automatically. For people who have piles of ratty ass old cell phones as they must have the 1500 dollar burner, this is a great way to back up your contact lists and transfer, Was much more user friendly than using email or putting it onto a computer, as I do not make calls from the comp.
Just thought I would share something that actually worked. Here am I, still amazed that this worked in my doing it, as I usually hand things to TL who gets things done, and I do not have to clutter my brain with information which I deem unnecessary.
At this point, we have the home phone, which is the computer hotspot on limited internet, The original phone I locked, which has like 60 hours of calling on it which we will never use, thank God, and now this back up. The lock phone is the one we haul on errands, and this other is just my back up, in case we need a phone on each of us. I do not like taking the home phone out and exposing it to things, so it stays home.
If we take photos somewhere, they just get texted to the home phone and then the contacts get them.
I still want to set this phone up with a Google Ap that is free to make it a hot spot. The thing is a great deal of this is mute, as in talking with the guy who set up the wifi on the other place, he said we were in a dead man's no carrier zone, but that his local company had bid on installing high speed in this direction. Wifi is like 70 bucks a month, but I bet I get nailed on the phone hook up. I pay now forever 60 dollars a month for 8 g of high speed, phone and text (free) from ATT, which is the best deal out there.
Verizon says they will put you online, but it goes to 90 bucks, and when TL was upgrading in the metro, they were sim card pulling or whatever forever in exchanging contact lists, and this way I have provided you, is far more user friendly.
I like contact lists, because I can't find any Goddamn phone numbers of anyone any more. Few people have land lines and everyone knows a cell phone is not listed, unless you are a crooked bastard stealing numbers or Social Security data. Just saves me time, and I hope that some of you can make use of the information.
