I have had interactions with John Thune, I have had people inform me of their interactions with John Thune, and the fact is, he is a fraud.
Examples of John Thune, from a beef, sheep and wildlife producing state are people who contacted him about the grey wolf problem in America, slaughtering pets, livestock and wildlife, to which Thune responded about the Mexican Red Wolf.
For the record, the states of Wisconsin, Montana, Minnesota, Wyoming, North and South Dakota are on the Canadian border, not the Mexican border, but John Thune was oblivious to it all.
Others have phoned his office, and it sounds like a sorority girl drunken orgy with Thune's interns squealing, screaming, laughing, shouting, while the male interns have their fingers in one ear, trying to respond to constituents concerns about real life.
Ranchers and livestock producers demanded action from Thune when the USDA ordered a premises tracking location be registered on all farms and ranches. Thune replied that they should not worry about it, as it would be taken up if it caused problems.

Foot Note* Being from the brier patch, I have seen dogs shot, and it is heart rending, in they scream in howls, their eyes are in terror, they spin and bite at the wound and have an end no one should have. John Thune by his statement from a rural state must be a real dog killer, and knows how they die. It is interesting that John Thune wants this kind of end for Mo Brooks Tommy Tuberville and other Patriots trying to save America and the preservation of real elections in America.
