Adolf Hitler was twice awarded the Iron Cross for bravery. The first time was in 1914 at the start of the Great European War in which he was awarded the Iron Cross Second Class. The second was the finish of the Great European war when he was awarded the Iron Cross First Class which was never awarded to an enlisted Soldier. The reason being, that Corporal Hitler alone captured 15 English Soldiers by himself, yes they were all armed and all ready to kill any German Soldier.
Adolf Hitler was wounded twice in battle. The first time was in 1916, being shot in the leg in the Battle for the Somme. He recovered and returned to the List Regiment. Promoted to Corporal, he fought in the Arras and Ypres, His Regiment was in the worst fighting to the end of the war.
On October 13th, 1918 AD in the year of our Lord, the British launched a poison gas attack on the Germans at Werwick, where Adolf Hitler carrying dispatch was caught in the attack. He fulfilled his mission with burning eyes, but noted that when he reached headquarters his eyes were glowing coals.
In hospital, blind, he suffered through the fate of his government being betrayed and the nation surrendered and their leader the Kaiser, forced from power.
If you placed any other name on Adolf Hitler, such as Frank Roosevelt, the American cripple from polio, who left Americans to die in the Pacific to start a war with Japan and left Americans to die in Europe for a year when Germany offered peace, Adolf Hitler on his accomplishments on the battlefield and a wounded Veteran, which Frank Roosevelt never was, would be heralded for the honest strength this man had.
This blog is not an apologist for Adolf Hitler, but this blog desires true historical recordings. People can be good and evil all in the same package and the reality is, most people are. Most people do not though get a world stage by their abilities and time line to achieve power, so you never see good of a George Washington or the bad of an Adolf Hitler.
If Germany had won the war, as Hitler predicted, he would be a world hero for his fight against communism and international bankers, if he lost he would be a pariah.
Considering that the world has adopted Hitler's National Socialism and is being genocided by a 1% in a vax war, the outcome if the world recovers will have a 100 year assessment by non prejudiced historians who will weigh Adolf Hitler in the balances not of propaganda, but fact. That historical writing will in that recovery from global rapine and genocide, judge Adolf Hitler in a different bias. In that, those historians will elevate Adolf Hitler to that group of leaders who conducted the same policies which the 3rd Reich engaged in, and those Nebuchadnezzar, Alexander, Caesar and Atilla group will be taught with the same collegiate renown.
