As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
In the Brier, we have the Hatfields and McCoys of groceries. Since I have been a child residents have taken sides in who they loved and who they hated. It got so bad that the families did not talk to each other.
I have had a dual relationship with both families in I loved dearly one of the family members on one side and I would do anything for a person on the other side as he was friends with my brother. The rest of the families I would have liked them to take meat cleavers to each other as they were shallow assholes.
That is in the thing in this, in I know lots of people who work on both sides. One guy I knew from school so when a rumor kept going around about the one family buying out the other, I asked him as he would know, as he always plays with them and tells me the owner used to be a pimp in college to get extra money.
So he tells me there was an offer and then nothing. So I believed him. The store was sold so I asked him about it being sold. and basically he lied to my face and lied to me about other things as what has upset me is I had friends in the other store and they were supposed to get jobs, and they were telling me that they had not been offered anything, not even asked for their social security numbers.
Yes the new owner is weeding people out, and that displeases me, but it displeases me more that the original owner did not do more to put it into writing for job fathering in and compensation. Yes sell a business for a fortune and do not think to give your employees a 10,000 dollar bonus. I can understand that as I have numbers of rich people who steal content and they forget to donate too.
In talking to the lying kid, what was bothersome most was, yes being lied to, but the fact is that people in the brier were pissed off. They were chewing ass about ending competition. He did try and tell them that this other family grocery was not their competition. The metro area next county over was their competition. That is not going to change the minds though as I told TL before this started that people were not shopping where we do, because they hated that family. They had made a choice and now are going to continue the hatred.
There was something like 15 kids out of those two families. I liked the parents of both, but damn there were only like 3 kids out of that bunch who were not something you did not want to hang around with.
The brier is not big, but I can't see why the chains like Kroeger and Walmart do not set up kiosk and delivery centers in mid size towns as they would make a bundle as if I had the dime to drop I would open a grocery store with my advanced marketing access to give the community a new way to hate people they already hated.
I really do not like being lied to. This transition is not going smooth. People are getting upset at things not being there and they want a store to be there. Frankly as a treat, I like Mrs. Cavendish little pies, bu the remaining store does not have them as their supplier is jackass stuff that tried selling shit like King Arthur flour here when the people of the land have never heard of the stuff. They like their brands and they are like Curry Niggers in not eating wheat as all they know as food is rice.
So change sucks. I feel bad for the people who I do like who are not in this venture, as I get attached to good people and stay that way. It is hard too as I remember the store which is sold when it was small, when it expanded, when the owner died and it is nostalgic to have waked down those aisles.
There just is not any way to open things up with how bad the economy is to use that property. Too much of a risk involved as my life is going in a new direction.
Oh well there is the hate and the hard feelings. That will survive. The kid will find out if he bit off more than he can chew as the world is changing and my road show is entertaining there, but I do too much work for free.
