If the American 3rd Army and German Wehrmacht would have linked up, this army would have not just conquerred to the Urals, but would have pushed on to link with American forces in China.
This lesson reveals a lesson for Vladimir Putin in Russia. Russia has a military which can breach the Rhine and make red with blood, but Russian forces will die there. Before any Russian spears enter Europe on the nuances of Ukraine, the Balkans and Finland which are the flashpoints, Russia will require an additional army to succeed. The sound doctrine would be for The Chinese PLA to transport in the safety for Russia to the Turkish border, promise Turkey the old Ottoman Empire and from that place a Turkish Chinese Army south into Italy, while the Russians move into the Slavic lands, smash Poland and continue to the English Channel where the Russian Navy and Air Force will have landed in Ireland and obliterated England, the great American land base.
China desires it's Silk Road, but there is not enough resource for China to control Italy to the Mideast to China. Russia would hold the wheat and the technology of Europe and remain in control.
The last situation that any power looking to conquer Europe is to start a war with America in the Far East. That area is too large and too long of ocean supply lines. Those contingencies destroyed Japan and they will destroy Russia and China as they can either take Europe and then the West falls in the next decade or they lose by fighting in Europe, the Pacific and thee American Continent.
Even with China landing in northern British Columbia, securing operations and then moving into Alaska where America would have to dislodge China from BC expending resources, the communications from China would too vulnerable in the long term. Even with the firepower of Russia and China, they can not fight a Eurasian War. That is why London and DC are goading the bear and the dragon to engage in a two front war.
China should be moving massive stores of food and munitions into North Iran to prosecute a war in Europe based in Turkey. China will fail in a war in the Pacific.
There is a fact in Europe, Russia must have the east to win, and for China to win the west, China must attack east.
