The Brown Eyed Girl

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

You can find in the archives here, the respect I had for Raquel Welch, so there is no need to eulogize her, in her passing, as she should be celebrated.

Just read the partial list of the stars she starred with. In most cases, she was the female lead, meaning she had to carry the load placed on a woman in a movie, among the biggest male stars in the business.

Yes there were movies that she was in that I had zero affinity with. It was her work though in Hannie Caulder which was outstanding, along with Walks Far Woman. She was always watchable though and that was the star quality she had. She was magic on screen like Faye Dunaway, Jeanne Cooper, John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and Oliver Reed.

It is too bad that she never starred with John Wayne in a real movie, although she did appear in a comedy sketch with him as an Indian which was hilarious as no one expected Wayne or Welch to have that comedic range.

.I do not know if she had been vaxed. I do know that she had not been seen for a few years, before the paparazzi snapped a photo of her in public again. It is a sad loss though as Hollywood does not have stars anymore, and the vax has been claiming the biggest in Bruce Willis and Jack Nicholson.

The era has passed with the death of Raquel Welch. There will never be another woman of her range, caliber and beauty. She worked hard for her image and made it a star, when most of the world was not willing to take her serious as just another pretty face.

I think I'm going to look up some of her movies I have not watched and give them a looksee now. As a child, there were things that should never change and yet they have all changed. Everyone on Gilligan's Island should still be alive and yet the golden age has lost all of it's most appealing actors and actresses.

A married woman with children, and she was the greatest sex symbol the world has ever known.

The page has turned from the brown eyed girl
