President Trump was saying the French and Germans were going to deploy troops and Russia would not have a problem with it. As you can see the Germans want no part of deploying troops and Russia will not permit this to take place.
The Lame Cherry will keep this short in winning the debate and the point. Ukraine sits on the border of Russia. Russia has annexed Russian lands there to protect Russian peoples. There is another nation sitting on Russia's border in Georgia, which experienced Russia annexing South Ossetia in order to protect Russian on that land. Russia stopped at that and has never bothered Georgia again.
Georgia does not have any security guarantees from the United States.

As Georgia is safe on Russia's border and does not have security guarantees, President Donald Trump has no policy to invoke to ever provide security guarantees to Ukraine. History proves, you stop the war, stop shooting Russians and Russia stops moving to protect it's people.
