The Damnedest Deeds

I ain't got involved in anybody else's business since I was 18 year old.
Almost got me killed. Ain't a gonna do it.

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

The gal I was confirmed with in Lutheran Church Missouri Synod was telling me her children give her hell yet for not stopping to help some vagabond as she has the sense to know that she just as easily could have been raped and murdered, along with her cherubs. They still castigate her over that, but I agreed, that you do not do that any more.....even if the one daughter now is going to get water for people under interstate overpasses with dogs.
If you can afford a dog, you can afford a ticket somewhere.

What this has to do with is what I'm  going to inform my gal pal to tell her children.

Our friend, who is a vax survivor, from cancer and heart attack, was telling us today that her son was over at his friends house. He got into his pick up to go home, and noticed as he drove off this guy laying on the sidewalk by a bicycle.

So he stops, checks the dude out, who is in bad shape, and calls 911. The cops arrive, the ambulance arrive, and soon he is being questioned about the scene of the accident in how he ran over this guy and killed him.

Kid is dumbfounded. He informs them he stopped to help, the guy was laying there and he had nothing to do with anything they are accusing him of.

The confiscate his pick up and his cell phone. This goes on for 6 months. He finally gets his cell phone back as they were "checking" to see if he was on the phone "when he ran over this guy".

In the meantime, the case has moved to the state capitol in the Attorney Generals office.

In the meantime, the kid, whose friend just happened to have a webcam, had footage of this guy, falling off his bike 3 times, as something was wrong with him in a DOA way, and it shows him laying on the sidewalk as the kid comes up and tries to help.

Law enforcement want nothing to do with this evidence. Instead their idea is they are not going to give this kid's pick up back, "as it was involved in a homicide".

As I type this, the kid is looking at 25 years or getting his pick up back, depending on how the stud duck sees the case.
I told TL, I would have gotten and attorney and sued them for 100 million dollars for wrongful accusations, and gotten their attention as 25 years in jail for stopping to help a dead guy is a bit much, but it honestly is about how my life manages to appear before my eyes at times.

I tell TL often enough when we are going somewhere and some dumbass blows by us, weaving in the lane and having probs, that if that asshole has a wreck, I'm not stopping as it is none of my concern what a Darwin is dying from. I realize that there are laws about helping people, but after what happened to our vax survivor's kid, I'm not helping anyone. Someone else can dial 911 and God has on the tab sheet about how helping people gets your ass into a sling in this world now.

So it is up to you how you carry out your life. I'm more of a returning shopping carts and helping people with heavy things where the distance is enough and no one is laying their dead for me to explain.

Might be the reality now when my evil neighbor who almost got us killed twice, that when I see him in God's Avenging, laying there dead, that I'm just going to not see anything in his field with some animal or equipment having killed him, as none of this is none of my business. I have done my supply of good deeds and good deeds do not put me into jeopardy in this age of people being accused of the damnedest things for being a good Samaritan.
