The Zerohedge boys had a prediction that China would invade Taiwan in 2023, which is this year. (Reveals how far into the future I reside in your reading this now.)
The Lame Cherry would like to examine this and to warn you of some things as I write this on New Years Day.
At the end of December, China pulled a GEORGE W, if you remember in your memory alpha, the Chinese when Bush43 came into power, downed a US recon aircraft by crashing into it. They held the crew hostage and made Bush pay a huge blackmail fine
China tried crashing into a US recon plane over the South China Sea at the end of December. When China desires to send a message, they crash planes into American planes. China is sending a message.

According to JPMorgan, “while the world is short on commodities, China is not given they have started stockpiling commodities since 2019 and currently hold 80 percent of global copper inventories, 70 percent of corn, 51 percent of wheat, 46 percent of soybeans, 70 percent of crude oil, and over 20 percent of global aluminum inventories.
China has been stockpiling supplies for longer than 2019 AD in the year of our Lord. But Chinese stockpiles like Chinese military equipment is as worthless as the defective items that litter the United States and are going to start breaking down.
For all the supplies China has, China can not fight a projected war for a long period of time. China can not feed itself for a long period of time. That is why Russia is the thing propping up China in food a fuel.
Chinese are arrogantly stupid, but not stupid. You can tell a Chinese anything and they will believe it. They make assessments though on prejudice that they are the smart ones in the room.
The Lame Cherry assesses it this way. Since Dictator Biden put an embargo on Taiwan chips to Russia and China, this means high tech is in short supply, and Russia and China need those chips which Taiwan makes. An invasion of Taiwan would damage that production and would negate any reason for invading Taiwan.
That is not to say that invasion is a non issue. The key to China invading Taiwan is what takes place in Ukraine. Russia is winning and Dr. Kissinger's peace plan is coming too late due to the arrogant stupidity of the Schwabians Russia being successful in Western Ukraine, means Russia has won. Ukraine is therefore off the table. Now as this does not seem to be much of a cause for China to invade Taiwan, project this further and you will understand.
Russia being in control of Ukraine proper, is more secure. If you remember this Lame Cherry warned you that NATO was opening a Mideast front against Russia for a two front war, you have now been told that Russia under Mr. Putin has projected Russian power in sending advanced fighters and the unstoppable S 400 missile system. That weapon's combo will defeat American F 35 jets sent to bomb Iran, and will defeat American missiles. This defeat means Saudi Arabia is now vulnerable. This means Iran now has the means to strike the Jewish state in retaliation All these powers have nuclear weapons.
What this projects is, China is not going to invade Taiwan without cover. Ukraine is not going to bring a NATO or American involvement in most scenarios, even if the Poles are trying to provoke a world war. The Mideast though is a matter of cover in those hot bloods will obliterate enough resources to matter, and American Centcom is centered there. An American retreat in the Mideast in deep humiliation, along with the NATO catastrophe in Ukraine, will provide China with the window to land forces.
It would take too long to land 2 million troops in this operation, so the alternative of an American defeat in Iran, would provide China the ability to begin a sea blockade of the island and a no fly zone. A landing of troop on the tip to surround the capital in a decapitation, would be one which China could continue reinforcements.
All of that is still great risk for China which does not take risks, but the Lame Cherry assesses that China will not move on Taiwan, unless there is ample defeat in another American theater, and perhaps a form of nuclear terrorism on the American mainland to occupy the United States again.

If China is provided that opening, then China will annex Taiwan. I would project that if China goes into Taiwan, than North Korea will flatten South Korea, except for the industrial centers. Given what North Korea now possesses, the United States could not rally from Okinawa or the Navy to save South Korea as MacArthur did in the 1950's for Harry Truman.
There is a fact in this, for Russia to invade Europe and China to invade Asia, there will have to be as the Japanese planned, Pearl Harbors for the Americans, but much greater than Pearl Harbor to occupy America.
