The Western Knife

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

Sorry but this is not much of a post. I found a 4 dollar Western hunting knife in the Thrift and decided to get it, as I could not see that well in the store and it looks in worse shape than I knew.

As it is, I will polish the rust off, leave the butina (sp) and oil it up. I will find some sheath for it and it will be my whatever knife from nostalgia purposes as am not going to pull it all apart and ruin the handle as that is kind of the reason for getting a crap old hunting knife is the value in not restoring it.

Someone sure beat the hell out of this one, but it proved it could take a hell of a beating. It is what it is. Might just sit on the shelf too as I really am not in a mind anymore to kill deer or other animals where skinning is a necessity.......not like this is a skinner as the blade is not curved for it......not like it is worth anything really for anything.

My brother was in the Black Hills over in South Dakota and he was tooling around on forest service land and he opens a gate and there on the post is this Western knife was there. It was a smaller version of this, and just pretty in it's symmetry. I wanted it, but he just brought it along to torment me, and I suppose that knife is shit to the wind with his kids, like this one was probably chopping things that chipped in it's blade. That was the neatest Western knife I ever saw, and could never find another one on Ebay. Is a shame that I would have loved to have had that one to just carry around.

So anyway that is the collector's item which will probably only collect dust for me.
