Death of the Architect of the American Century

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

As a historian, I tend to have lapses in the exact details of even the deaths of people I admire, one being President William McKinley, who is in the same meld as the assassination of President Garfield.

While I knew that President McKinley was assassinated by a nutty foreigner and Vice President Theodore Roosevelt was sworn in as President, I did not realize the ordeal, which was quite sad in what really killed this President.

It infuriated me further when I remembered that foreign illegitimate in Barack Hussein Obama removed President McKinley's name from a mountain to honor him for some Goddamn aboriginal political vote whoring. A Christian President, beloved by the Americans of his age, and one who all Americans are living a legacy of as this is the President who laid the foundation of thee American Century, was so abused in death by this Barry Obama, who was not even a natural born American, is just disgusting in all the shit that illegitimate did to America.

I found in a very loyal history of President McKinley the exact details of his death and it was sad. The President was in New York at a gathering, greeting people and a nut, shot him twice. One bullet in his chest was deflected and did little harm. The second into his abdomen, shot through his stomach.

There was great concern over peritonitis in the stomach contents leaking into the cavity, but after an hour operation, under ether, anesthesia, the stomach was examined, turned, and 3 layers of sutures were undertaken, and the stomach was closed, saline flushed the cavity and the President was sown back up.

He seemed to be getting better each day, but his heart was running over 100 beats as minute and he had a fever over 100, which was normal in that era. His pulse though began to weaken on the 6th day, and this is when the situation turned. Of all things, what was killing the President was his intestine was paralyzed which his common in surgery today, but it always alleviates itself in a short time, this time it did not, and the doctors has for a few days, even engaged in a enema to nourish the President.

He had eaten some broth in the morning, seemed better and then the food came back up as his gut was not functioning.

It was on Thursday, just six days after the shooting, that the President suffered a relapse. Everybody was still full of hopes until 8 130 o'clock in the evening, when the physicians announced officially that the President's condition was not so good. The problem of disposing of the food in the stomach was becoming a serious one, and the danger of heart failure increased. At midnight the situation was critical. Calomel and oil were given to flush the bowels and digitalis to quiet the heart. The bowels moved soon afterwards, and the patient improved. The pulse dropped to 120, and the prospect was regarded as brighter.

Secretary Cortelyou announced that there would be no more bulletins during the night, and the physicians departed.

Shortly after two o'clock, after a heavy thunderstorm, the physicians and nurses who were left on watch detected a weakening of the heart action. The pulse fluttered and weakened and the President sank toward a collapse. The end appeared at hand. Restoratives were applied speedily, but they did not at once prove effective. It was then decided to send for the other physicians, relatives, members of the Cabinet, and close personal friends of the President.

Trouble began on Thursday afternoon through the failure of the digestive organs to perform their functions. The necessity for nourishment had been pressing for several days, and the partial failure of artificial means had led to the adoption of natural means. The rectum, through which nourishment had been injected previously to Wednesday, became irritated and rejected the enemas.

After Thursday the President continued to weaken and lost consciousness. His passing was quiet and his last words were a reality of this fine man.

"Good-by, all; good-by. It is God's way. His will be done, not ours."

It seems such a tragedy and is, that while his gut was paralyzed, a simple IV, fructose, penicillin and fluids probably would have allowed the time for normal functions to return and President McKinley would have survived.

The above photo is a rare one in the funeral procession in DC by the US Treasury for President McKinley. Americans owe this man everything, as all the good which we enjoy were founded in his policies and his virtues.

He should be remembered as President Trump has based his Golden Age on President William McKinley.

Paralytic Ileus: Definition, Causes, Symptoms & Treatments

Paralytic ileus occurs when the muscle contractions that move food through your intestines are temporarily paralyzed.

William McKinley serving in the infantry from Ohio in the Civil War.

"Young as he was, we soon found that in business, in executive ability, young McKinley was a man of rare capacity, of unusual and unsurpassed capacity, especially for a boy of his age. When battles were fought or service was to be performed in warlike things he always took his place. The night was never too dark; the weather was never too cold; there was no sleet, or storm, or hail, or snow, or rain that was in the way of his prompt and efficient performance of every duty."
