The Chicken Brooder Cage

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

I was in need of a fix, not dope as I have never done dope.........nope no weed, no opiates, no meth, no narcotics..........but I had this sitting hen which was setting on eggs in this HAARP chem and I noticed she was hatching out early.

As my other junk yard wire brooder was occupied and no vacancy, I knew I needed something, so the Holy  Ghost had my eyes fall upon my pile of junk..........precious equipment from God that I have not discovered a use for. and what I beheld was a shopping cart cage top. I had gotten two from JYG. I think he charged me 20 bucks as his old lady was probably nagging him about money, but I got them with the intention of building live coon cage traps out of them. Never got that done as I had another use I did not know for baby chicks.

As the pictures saves 1000 words, this is the blue Makita with cutting wheel on it which I really love as I cut the wire........which was some free ends out of the junk yard. The white things are white wire racks TL got out of a fridge for chicken roosts, but the Holy Ghost said they would make a top. The screen at top is from a heat pump thing from the junk yard I picked up. I save allot of crap and it always comes in handy and saves a fortune having to buy things when I need them.

Ok this is the brooder cage opened up. You can see the top flipped open and the front flipped open. This is one heavy duty mother of a cage.

Next up is the closed up brooder. Junk yard scoop, spray foam can from the incubator follies, tire iron thing from the junk yard and or a wooden curtain rod to beat the hell out of criminals if my gun is at home.

Anyway, like all things home engineered cage traps, how this all fit together is hog rings which farmers put into hog noses so they don't root........I think that is what they are for. Looks like it would hurt like hell and pigs root allot and get out. Can not remember a Sunday morning after a tiring week of school, having to get up at 7 o'clock with the mother yelling at me, "Get up the pigs are out!" Then having to chase them tired, eat breakfast fast, get dressed and end up in Church and suffer an hour in that no oxygen area, then another hour in Sunday school  torture, then a 20 minute ride home in heat and dust with a headache to feel like phaser shot the rest of the day in being tired.

I must have digressed.

The hog rings and pliers is a Godsend in making things fast.......well as long as you do not have 1/2 inch wire as the pliers will not get in for that so that takes some time and cussing. Church was probably wasted on me for that sin of venting as I do let loose on projects.

Anyway if you find some junk carts this would work for bunnies to whatever. I'm pleased I was delayed from the coon killer trap and now have a chicken brooder trap which I could stand on as this is one sturdy appliance......well I'm not a 350 pound fat ass like my fat ass cousins who go to Church allot but it does not seem to do them any good.

Them I would not allow to stand on this brooder as jugs of milk are about a limit in fridge wire racks.

Oh I put on the small square wire as baby chicks in miniatures and banties will go through 1 inch wire squares........suppose quail would too.
