Louis David Riel

On November 16th, 1885, the British Canadian Government, legally murdered this American and have gotten away with calling him a traitor and terrorist ever since in covering up their crimes.

If not for this Gentleman, much of area from Havre Montana to St. Paul Minnesota would never have been developed, because of who and who his people are, for their trade routes broke the European monopoly on the fur trade in North which would in turn develop the American interior.
Louis David Riel, is the literal Father of Manitoba, and her sister Canadian Provinces, and the Father of Minnesota, the Dakotas, Iowa and a Godfather to Montana.

I will presume this notable American and his murder by the British Canadians will be news to most people, as none of this is mentioned in the history of America, but in areas of Canada from Quebec to Manitoba, the name Louis Riel is equal to George Washington, Patrick Henry, Paul Revere and Benjamin Franklin.

Where Gandhi and Mandela are espoused to greatness by liberals, Riel is left to a silence which is a crime against all Americans.

Let me tell you about something you do not know............

When the French and Angles pushed west from the Old Dominion and Old Regime of the west in Canada, their traders married the Indian women of the interior, and soon enough produced an immense population of half breeds, defined as the Metis who lived mostly along the Red River of the north forming the Minnesota North Dakota border and pushing up into the provinces into the Hudson's Bay.
To surprise all of you, yes America has a river which flows north and it is the rarest in the world as the Red River flows into Canada while all other rivers flow south.

These Metis or Black Scots or French Canadians as they were known were an industrious and hardy people. In 1800 the Hudson Bay Company controlled the fur trade and that meant prices. A new thing though happened shortly after that in 1830 when traders like. H. H. Sibley of Iowa would build upon a cross boarder trade in the Canadian Prairies starting at Pembina, North Dakota as those furs no longer went to Europe, but instead went south to St. Paul in one of the most fantastic untold stories in American history.
You must understand that liberals like to portray the American interior as all wild Indians and no white men to spoil the region. The fact is that white Americans and Canuck Metis were literally running ox carts, or the Red River Cart, which was a two wheel wagon pulled by a steer from Canada to St. Paul in creating the Red River Trail that opened up the entire American interior for expansion and wealth creation.

This Trail was more vital than the Oregon for settlement or the Chisholm for cattle and yet for some reason, no one mentions a thing about this trading route which created America.

It was into this developing area that the British Canadians soon desired to push to develop. The problem though was though the Indians got the treaties, the Anglo protestants got the land and the Metis got absolutely nothing in being forced out of a land they developed.

This is where Louis Riel appears as the champion of American rights in Canada. He would spend time in Chicago, lead a rebellion in Canada, make the British Government deal with his people's needs, end up an American in Montana exposing Democrat vote rigging there, and in his end would lead the last American rebellion in Canada for which the Canadian English would hang him.............er, would have a trial for his last strategy in creating a rebellion to make the Government address the Metis rights, but the British Canadians would murder Louis Riel for Riel's execution years before of a subject named Thomas Scott who detested the Metis people in what would be called hate speech now and crimes in Canada.

Riel was a deeply religious man, a prophet and smeared as insane by his enemies. He was though the leader the people of Manitoba turned to constantly and even in exile, he was elected three times to the Canadian House of Commons in the federal government.
He had a 5000 dollar bounty placed on his head, was seated and booted out of Parliament, after the people kept re electing him, and finally the British Canadian Government got their murder as no stay of execution would be allowed.

As Sir John Macdonald is quoted as driving this murder:

"He shall hang though ever dog in Quebec bark in his favor".

The damage though was done and complete by the patrician Canadians in Riel would have schools and streets named for him in Canada.
He would become a rallying point for Quebec, and even one of their separatist groups Front de libération du Québec, named one of it's cells after Louis Riel in the 1960's.

Louis Riel has his champions and even into the 1990's the Canadian Americans have thrice tried to revoke his conviction, make a national day of honor for him, and to name the Day officially, Louis Riel Day as Martin Luther King jr. is honored in America for promoting black Americans.

I often mock my Canadian brothers as they are a boring and quite stupid people who have a very good heart. A Canadians idea of "wild west story" is to have bad guys, and the hero ride into their camp knowing their are bad guys there, because he is hungry and then gets captured for being an idiot.
There is just something mundane about Canadians not quite getting it, as they are all a group of bookkeepers keeping things for the Queen and they never quite got rid of sitting in rows.

The Voyageurs, the Bushmen and the Metis though were an American breed, who were not the most popular among the British patricians of the Old Regime and Dominion. They gave rise to these United States in being the first Americans exploring and opening commerce with the Indians while Jim Bridger and Kit Carson were not even formed yet in their Mother's wombs.

These breeds all across the north American plains are who were the first Americans of adventure and due to their Anglo and Norman roots, did not become Mexican peons to be exploited, but they fought back and Louis Riel the Canadian and American was the one who assembled this people for their Revolution for American Rights.

The Canadians proper just do not know what the hell to make of Louis Riel, because he was a literal American. Those who do not bow to friend or foe recognize this Patriot for the Hero he is like Joan D'Arc for the French and Nathan Hale for the Americans.

There were two Americans in the period after the War of 1812 to the Civil War who were the greatest this Continent ever produced. One was a Democrat in Andrew Jackson who patricians in America have no conception what to do with this fiery spirit and the other was a Montana Republican who fired the Canadian Provinces into birth by the forge of his heart in Louis Riel.

The common perception is to list Abraham Lincoln as the foremost, but President Lincoln was a serene sunset compared to birthers of nations Jackson and Riel conceived and brought forth for their peoples.

Louis David Riel deserves better, deserves his earned respect and deserves his right as an American to have his name listed with the Founding Fathers of these United States, as he was not a traitor and he deserved better than to be hung like a dog and strangled to death, because that is what the Canadian patricians did to him in "botching" his hanging in his neck did not break, but his heart continued to beat, as this legal murder strangled him in the most heinous display of barbarianism.

Louis David Riel
deserves his American rites and rights, because he was an American from both sides of the border in a Patriot leading Provinces and States to their birth.
