There is always so much misconception in what a Jew is as much as what an Israelite is, as there were 13 tribes, and while their Uncle Laban of Mesopotamia had a name WHITE as he was white, ignorant people forever put on the identity of other races from the modern age and never bother to find what the Bible says.
For example, we know exactly what King Solomon looked like, as in the Song of Solomon, we find his skin color and his hair color.
Song of Solomon 5:11
His head is as the most fine gold, his locks are bushy, and black as a raven.
Solomon's hair was black, but his head is termed as fine gold. This indicates he had golden skin.
We know that King David was "ruddy" complected in being pink skinned as in white. This then confers that Bathsheba was a woman who had black hair and was golden skinned too.
This does not mean of course that every Israelite was dark haired with golden skin, or a red haired person with pink cheeks.
What it does mean though is that if you look at Americans in their hair colors, eye colors and skin colors, that is what ancient Israel looked like, as Egyptian drawing revealed a people of whitish skin colors and Caucasian eye colorations.
The love interest of Solomon in the Song of Solomon describes herself black, as the tents of Kedar. There is a caveat in this though in "blackness".
Song of Solomon 1:6
Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.
Here we see a woman whose skin pigment allows her to become very dark when tanned. She worked outdoors and was darkened like most Americans are to "Indian" status when tanned by the summer sun.
I place this here as a known proof, that the skin of Israelites was ruddy to golden to being able in the sun to be tanned to a blackness. Their hair was black to red.
If you want to find a genetic signature of Israelites in the lost 10 tribes, you just have to find red haired peoples and that points out where those peoples are residing to this day from western Europe to America in the Lost 10 Tribes.
