weeee baby update
As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
My children, TL had some Scotts brand Hyponex potting soil which had fertilizer added and I was using it to repot wee baby sprouts and things, but I conclude at this juncture, that it was this soil which ate the roots off the apple sprouts, destroyed TL's African Violet and in my vain attempts, it appeared to niggerize African Violet leaves to try to grow new wee baby violets.
This has been frustrating to the max as I was wondering what I was doing wrong, but I think on new information, that it was this soil that was killing things. One of the last apples was stunted and it was this soil I had used. It did not affect older apple plants, and turned the almost a black green, but this Hyponex appears the scorched earth source.
I had some other chunks of chit potting soil too that did not work on the sprouts either that I birthed too young, so soil does make a difference.
The reason I state this is TL obtained some clay based potting soil from Home Depot and I have placed 4 African Violet leaves into it, and they are still in this world starting on the second week. Violets hate wet, and it appears they hate fertilizer too. This new soil is working on the tomatoes in container too as well as other things I am sticking things into it like some rescued wee baby cottonwoods and wee baby mulberries and a sugar maple.
What I desired to add in this is TL had some Espona Plant Tone, organic fertilizer. It smells to me like food lure in trapping, and the flies appear when it is on the plants, but I have just been reaching into the bag and sprinkling it on the surface of the soil in the pots once a month and the plants have been responding well to it.
I only have the apples in those fast food plastic cups, so they do not have a great deal of room, and I may have over fertilized them as this Canadian cold spell in mid July messed things up in making the apples look like they had too much sweets, but they are responding munificently to the adoration I have poured upon them.
The first two trees were barely 3 inches a month ago, but upon doctoring them up with this fertilizer and ample water, they are now 7 inches tall.
I have those Armenian cukes and that Red Kuri squash in a two gallon container, and have been dumping a gallon of water, half gallon at a time, in the bottom tray and a quart into the top soil which has been fertilized, and with my pollination and a helpful black carpenter bee, it appears we have 2 cukes and 1 squash. There are more cukes, but they are not filling as in this container with fertilizer I apparently can not pump enough nutrients into the vines to make them over produce, but this will work for at least being able to grow something.
It is making me ponder now in the Holy Ghost if maybe the key in this, would be to container plant the vines, but instead of a water tray, just let the roots get into the real soil. This method I think if you sweetened the subsoil with fertilizer, produce a greater root structure, keep them warm for fruit production, and the reason behind all of this is to allow ample watering for people in arid zones.
One would have to use a more clay based soil, and probably top dress fertilizer a few times, but I am thinking this might be a way for people with not a great deal of space, to not have to deal with raised beds or ploughing the back 40 for the squirrels to eat things.
I am still studying on this, in hydroponics type systems, but I am satisfied with God's help I can make this work by jigging it a bit. I have another gopher like me who I term Tomatoe Gal, who raises things in pots, and I have noticed that her tall leafies which I think are tomatoes are turning yellow.....she needs fertilizer as like my over watering on the squash I got some spotted leaves of that yellow color.
Oh I know what I was going to share and I hope this helps, as it is about those wee baby bing stones I was experimenting with. I noticed that after a week one of them actually had a root on it, and I left it two weeks as I was dreading burning that root off as a wee baby calf born backwards and dead, and now a duck hen murdered by a fox, was not a good week. But in taking the bull by the horns, as I had to do it eventually to find out, I used TL's clay dirt yesterday in one of those plastic glasses with a lid for a straw, watered it in, with a hole in the bottom, and sat it on the floor by the sliding glass doors, so it would gently warm, and sure as shoot tootin', that wee baby head, like a bean head is sticking up out of the dirt where I laid it. (I only put the roots down and let the sprout leaves breathe the air.
That is why I was posting this in why I believe that Scotts Hyponex is murder on baby plants and African Violets, while this Home Depot, Timberline Soil from Old Castle in Atlanta Georgia is not toxic shock syndrome for wee baby plants. I thought Georgia only had brown turdy type soil which was sandy, but this was black as Toby's.
Amazing thing about thought police is they can censor all speech, and it only takes one chipmunk to start chattering and soon enough all the other chipmunks are saying the same thing, not thinking it is racist at all, because it just means black as night to them.
It also has Rush Limbaugh parroting things of this blog "as his own ideas" according to Mark Steyn, that British twerp who sounds like a chainsaw having cat sex, that Rush was saying to impeach or imprison the lower Obama despots, a week after it was written of here first.
So any way, this is not about parrots, what do you think this is a zoo? I just checked wee baby Bing and it appears to have greeny type tint to first leaves, so will see. I hope Richard and Stephanie's wee baby stones sprout and grow too. I was thinking this would be 3 months before anything happened, but who knows in Darwin mutants eh?
I have no idea what to do with the thing without a fruitarium, but it did work in cracking the pit, taking the stone out and I dosed this with peroxide I think........one other stone just swelled up, but I will check on it in what that is all about without a root.......looks like just a big head and no legs.
At least am pleased in this crypt of death, that maybe it was the designer dirt and not me that was killing the plants. I do think for non food items, though if you could find some cheap bulk farmer fertilizer that might work as good on flowers. When I was still at the brier patch, I picked up about a gallon of the stuff off a neighbor's field just piled up........at least do not think it was herbicide.
That is about it for the valuable information. I ever get any peaches I am going to give that a go too, but for now at least I think the key is, your own dirt if it is more clay type, a bit of sand or dry matter to make it not concrete, and then a fertilizer to fill in the gaps.
Most of that potting soil though is like punks on the 4th of July in all fluff. I realize it is for shipping in weight, but all the same, it dries out faster than a sponge in the Gobi.
I would love to be Queen of the Gobi.........I'd teach them Chinamen how to bloom the wastes.
Where was I? Oh yeah, like Adolf Hitler said, "Perseverance is the key, so keep trying, and you will succeed." That ought to keep the blog from being stolen by PBS Victory Garden and others whose voices sound like chainsaw cat sex.
So just keep cold exposing your seeds which need it in the fridge and they will sprout sometime, do not use designer soil as it appears a problem as much as Designer Negroes stealing American elections for the White House, and you should have some wee baby things.
You know I appreciate learning from other's experiences like what kinds of cherries they plant, what kinds of bees they would recommend or if the cicadas are out in Minnesota. People know so very much which is such vital information.
Like last year my grocery peppers did not produce diddle, but the Roma tomatoes seeds I have are now growing like weeds.........no flower buds yet, but I am looking for them.
Yeah that was me wrapping things up paragraphs ago with that much envied leader Adolf Hitler.....yeah FDR, DeGaulle, Churchill and Stalin all envied Hitler, and that is why they took his dance card away.
Oh God's honest here too, in Adolf Hitler said he read Colonel DeGaulle's book on warfare...........uh huh and the French writing books and teaching Austrians how to produce a war.
Is why I stick with dirt, as if you make dirt all you got is more dirt..........and more plants as long as it is not toxic shock Scott's Hyponex dissolve the roots off of wee baby apple sprouts dirt.
God's honest, odd is it not what not eh, in the French never get credit for teaching the leftists how to make war.
I have a fantasy about Ranier cherries, but they affected my allergies even if I liked them. Would like to try a white peach too..........oh and that Scotts scorched earth the Filipino orange limes too. Got to mix that up with some other dirt or leave it for the adults like sugar maples.
You know Obama would not have been so bad if like.......Hubert Humphrey was Vice President, Jim Wright was Speaker and some American like Joseph McCarthy was Senate Leader. Hard to believe that Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton were the source for all Obama's victories, and once Pelosi went botox insane and Hillary got a brain bruise, that the image of Obama sank faster than a john's credit card balance in a crack whore's den.
Who else can do a soil warning and include crack whores and tie it all together to make perfect dinner conversation sense, but the popular girl eh.
