Much has been made concerning the lynching of blacks after the Civil War, but for some reason the loyalist white in the South has simply been censored in this, as only the black can be afforded pity.
The reality is the white American in the South was terrorized by guerrillas in the Civil War and was afflicted upon much worse in continued murders for years.
If a black simply stayed away from voting booths, was not uppity and refrained from intercourse with white women, they had little to fear. On the contrary, the white American in the South was hounded, hunted down and assassinated.
These historical tidbits are interesting in the light of Americans who are white are soon to be a minority in America. When white Americans were in a majority there was no sympathy for their being abused and murdered, so it is doubtful with minorities in charge the white will be any more protected than they were in 1866 America.
Things to think about.

These last were singled out as special objects of attack, and were, therefore, obliged at all times to be on the alert for the protection of their lives and property ."
