The purpose of this post is to provide a down home, brier patch assessment of what is taking place at the end of the supply chain in the United States.
The President should be commended in invoking the defense act to align US production of medical supplies and I urge the production of medical treatments which are proving promising as in Cholraquin Phosphate, as taking a 10,000 patient edge off of this immediately is going to solve the problems of ventilators.

Past the gadgets though, officially in the brier patch, we are out of:
Flour
Toilet Paper
Rubber Gloves
Hand Sanitizers
Cheap bleach and soap
Potatoes
Oatmeal
Eggs
We have two Catholic markets here, and they are crafty bastards. I could tell in questioning the people I BS that they were holding back. Other conversations produced a reality that the Thursday supply semi is coming with biggest load ever they have ordered..........while other information gleaned was that toilet paper may be here in two weeks, if ever.
The distributors are simply out, in supplying the metropolitan areas. There is a real problem in the populace areas are hording all the supplies in the United States.
In the other Catholic enterprise, I chatted up the deli gal for awhile, and she mentioned the Thursday trucks coming in, and then said, "They had a huge pile of toilet paper in back, but that is starting to get small."
Translation is, they are rationing toilet paper to Friends of Catholics. I will believe the toilet paper which came in, in the other store, went to employee and other big shots hording supplies.
I compared the two stores, and there still were eggs and flour in the smaller store. It just surprises me that eggs were out in eggs are not exactly things which keep for the summer. It could be the beaners are running for Mexico already and not there to gather eggs too. We simply do not know the cause and effect. I can not afford to keep running to town, so I can not do an on sight report, and that will have to wait on my lack of funds.
TL and I did conclude something though, the stores were much more healthy with coronavirus. What I mean by that is, all those goddamn coughing, wheezing and other shit heads who should be staying home and not spreading the flu in winter, appear to have been terrorized into staying home finally. Make this a Lame Cherry prediction, an exclusive, that influenza infections will drop due to Coronavirus as the spreaders will be hiding behind locked doors.
I am most pleased about that as the last times we were in town, there was this old bat in a Buick hacking in the Thrift, and then I saw her jetting out to the stores out of town, and as we sat taking a break, here that dumb bitch was cruising back in just as quick. I mean Judas on a mule, she should have been clopped in the head, in being an asshole like that. Another salesman was sitting with his best friend, his smart phone smiling and coughing, as he surfed the net. If the world for me becomes that all I have is a goddamn phone and grinning at net porn, I would hope I got Corona and died, as that ain't no life.
So that is the update from the front. The flu pandemic will be remedied as the Corona is terrorizing the Darwins to hide at home, Big city people are hording so much that rural people's supplies have been cut. That is something the Germ Lord needs to remedy as those are Trump voters.
One more thing, I was on Cheaper than Dirt, and those assholes have raised the price of guns by 100 dollars since before this all started. That is bullshit price gouging, but gun people are some of the biggest assholes on the planet for hording things and driving up prices.
I do not expect the toilet paper situation to remedy itself till after summer, as people are going to be piling it up so much that it will protect them from nuclear bombs.
