Having grown up around Indians, I am not blinded by liberalism, looking at them as pets. It is probably a surprise in stating that, in that I have always championed the Metis Peoples of Canada, who are a group of half breed French and Anglos which the United States owes a great deal to.
Once upon a time there were Americans and British, from Winnipeg to St. Louis, who had an idea that the United States should be an inland sea of peoples which extended from Hudson's Bay to the Gulf of Mexico. These visionaries, based everything upon the Metis Peoples, who were the traders that plied from Winnipeg to St. Louis, in the Ox Carts in the greatest trade route of early America.
If I could go back in time, that is what I would do is trade with the Indians on the Metis route.
I have championed Louis Riel, the Canadian American, who founded Manitoba, was a champion of the Metis and in seeking liberty and justice for all, was the George Washington of Canada in leading the rebellions, for which the crown hung him, an American Citizen.
On that history, that is why I was troubled when I came across the murder of two moose hunters in Alberta Canada. I knew immediately what had taken place as they had been furloughed from their jobs due to Coronavirus and went hunting.
In Canada, they have Crown Land, akin to BLM or public land in which people can hunt. The story of this was that Jake Sansom, 39, and Morris Cardinal, 57, family members had obtained a Metis permit, or in America it would be a tribal permit to hunt moose out of season for food.
They had shot a moose earlier, and had been busy with family processing it, when they returned to the area, where they came upon another vehicle, where a dispute erupted, with violence, over the hunting.
The Mounties are stating that race was not involved, and we can not be sure, as the murderer Anthony Michael Bilodeau, has a French name in Anglo Alberta, so he may be a breed too, but we do know that Jake Sanson, accomplished in martial arts, was a volunteer firefighter and worked on the oil crews, could handle himself, and as the altercation was taking place, it was then that Bilodeau drove up in another pick up, and opened fire on the Sanson and Cardinal.
What is particularly distasteful is Bilodeau and whoever the others were, drove off after the murders, and the dead laid in the open all night, until they were discovered by traffic.
It was then that Bilodeau turned himself in and the RCMP courts denied bail, but that is when the aftertaste of Justin Trudeau's Ottawa appears, as BIlodeau was charged with only second degree murder.
Bilodeau fires numerous times in a rage, leaves two humans in the middle of nowhere, who may have been alive, does not report the attack or murders, of a most grisly attack and scene, and all the government can do is charge 2 counts of second degree, when this is two counts of first degree murder.
This is Ottawa as it is, the lives of Metis People are cheap and Bilodeau did the government a favor.
There is a legal standard in the law, one shot fired is an accident, two shots fired is deliberate. It is the difference between manslaughter and murder. It is also the standard that no one can open up on two people, leave them for dead, and have it anything but first degree murder.
What Bilodeau engaged in was deliberate and he was looking for this outcome. When the facts come out, it probably was something more along the lines of the first occupants of the vehicle were Bilodeau's clan. They were furious that the Metis had shot "their moose" on "their" ground, which was government land and a special permit government moose, so a fight broke out, in which the Bilodeau two got their asses kicked.
Bilodeau heard this, and went Metis hunting. He was enraged and meant to murder people.
Jake Sanson's murder left a widow and three orphans and Canada is left with another excuse by Ottawa, that this was not murder as the Metis were the assaulted and Ottawa really cares about these people.
Not anywhere in this story is it recorded the RCMP is looking for the first two thugs who started this. Those two have not turned themselves in, and no one is looking for charging them for "hunting wildlife Metis out of season", as why would the RCMP charge these two correctly as accomplices in first degree murder, when they do not think a Metis is worth the charge of first degree murder.
I guess in Canada, the Metis should be pleased that at least it was not ruled a justified homicide in Bilodeau was defending his friends, and the dead were not charged with assault.
Every time I hear these Trudeau types trashing everyone else, I think of the murder of Louis Riel, and then I see blackface, turban head photo ops, and Canadians elect that to office again, and then two more Metis are murdered, and nothing has changed from 1880 in Canada.
Coronavirus has a novel way of killing people in the second wave. People are let go from work, being Metis, and while they are legally out trying to feed themselves, Coronavirus cronies go around murdering the innocent.
Doesn't seem that ventilators, Chlorouqine or masks will be of much use in this new way Coronavirus is killing.
