Minnehaha County has been identified as a COVID-19 hotspot, with 190 cases tied to Smithfield Foods' pork processing facility in Sioux Falls. The facility has closed for a three-day period to mitigate the disease and instigated additional precautions based on CDC guidelines, Gov. Kristi Noem said Friday in her daily briefing. Across all of Minnehaha County, there are 352 confirmed cases of COVID-19.According to data compiled by the New York Times, the Smithfield Foods facility in Sioux Falls is now the fourth-largest COVID-19 hotspot in the nation. The other hotspots that are higher than Sioux Falls are the Cook County Jail in Chicago, the U.S.S Theodore Roosevelt and the Parnell Correction Facility in Jackson, Michigan.
This started with 1 infected Mexican, who migrated into Sioux Falls in the human traffick run by American Chamber of Commerce. Two weeks later, there were 80 cases overnight. At that point the political leadership in Sioux Falls had a heated confrontation with Smithfield, as they had covered up this pandemic borne from the slave trade replacing American workers.
By two days later, 110 more cases had exploded all from 1 filthy Mexican 14 days ago.
This is not over with yet, as I have reported to you hear, and none of you paid attention. I have watched these vermin rolling boogers in stores, throwing them on the floor. If the President takes off the shut down, the United States will boil with the plague. The Cargill and Smithfield plants are being closed, while JBS said it will continue operations.
Workers are also starting to die. Two more deaths were reported by union officials on Friday, one at the Greeley, Colo., meat plant and one in Pennsylvania. Both those facilities are owned by JBS SA, the world’s top meat producer
