I grew up playing cards. Wist, Smear, Widow's Wist, Hearts, and moved onto Euchre and Pinochle.
None of this matters except in final Jeopardy knowledge.
I never have played a great deal of poker, as it is a game for stupid people, and that is why so many people are lured into it. There simply are a finite number of cards and outcomes in this game, and as Richard Nixon stated when he asked how to win at Poker, and the person told him, to not bet stupid and only bet on sure things, Richard Nixon won all the time.
So Ben Affleck losing a car in a game and his ass, that proves that poker is for morons.
I love playing Spades, but there are no free games of Spades. I used to play on Pogo a great deal in Spades with a gal from Georgia, and played with a gal from Ohio in Euchre. Used to go in and lock the door and play with the computer, but I have no time or bandwidth for such things now.
So I play Windows 7 version Hearts and I would that this game would not CHEAT. Once it finds out that you win too much, it cheats. I began playing and was not paying attention and averaged around 65% wins, as I thought I was playing XP which I won proficiently at. not 7 as this is not a game, but a rigged play. I average around 55% in this game, after this game shaved off 13% from my score.
I have just gone through a series of losses which dropped me from 56% in wins, and that is pretty good considering the game is rigged. What I discovered though in the haze of work and just playing a few hands is that there is a finite number of hands you can play before someone loses at 100 points. That sounds simple as 26 points is the most each hand, and divided and distributed means there has to be a limit of hands, but it was not until I played 15 hands did I bother to look as I had the computer in 3 other hands all around 95 points and I was sitting at 75.
The limit therefore is 16 hands before someone would have to win.
At the current cheat, I am trying to get below 2 points. In XP I did all kinds of wonder in shooting the moon or setting everyone in a row of 4 games to win, and me not having any points, I have driven the other computer gens to over 100 points, and whatever else, but this is not the case in 7.
In 7, the games usually start off with sticking me with the Queen which is 13 points, and then driving me up to 50 points. It used to be one other gen would be like 3 points and me at 50 to start the game out, but as I was winning too much, it was 2 gens I had to try and drive their scores up.
In the game below screen grabbed, it was typical in spotting me too many points at the start, making me work each hand, but then the tricks come in, with sticking me with the Queen or what is often the case in giving me a hand which I will bite on to set the others, and of course they will sluff a heart where it should not be, and I will be stuck with 25 points, which makes things really hard.
I did discover a flaw in this 7 or at least it is a flaw yet, in if they overload you with hearts, even with smaller cards in other suits, if you can take the Queen, and get into hearts, you can set everyone, as the hearts will be depleted.
Then again, I was sticking the gens with the Queen too much, so instead of 4 spades, as that is 12 cards in 3 hands, leaving the Queen, one gen is always short suited and has two more hearts than I have.
This game though cheats. It ALWAYS has one more card than you have, and I swear in one hand where I knew I had them set, the 6 of hearts appeared twice in one hand. I also believe a time or two a trick was sluffed, meaning the gens were out, and here came a card which proved they were not out.
As I stated, this game cheats, and I do play very well, in knowing to not allow the gens to take all the tricks, but even in preparation, this game will still stick me.
In the above, the computer had the game designed to lure me into a sense of victory as I was winning easily and suddenly I was almost equal to the next lowest score, which in the last hands is something I know will manifest is the computer will stick me with the Queen to lose......and it did, but this time I was able to outplay in the gens at almost 100 points took no tricks, and stuck with the Queen, I stuck the gen that was to defeat me with the Queen in the next hand, and in the next hand won the game.
Allot of wasted time, effort and work, when all I wanted to do was relax while I was writing something. But then I would not have this post to explain how this game cheats.
As the above took 11 hands, you can witness that I do not lose easily, and the game has to be programmed to make me work and at 660 games, I put in far too much work. I just think of the champion poker players and know they would not be winners if they had the game cheating them. I win with the game still cheating with impossible hands.
