It's a medical fact Joe that the air conditioning causes the penis to shrivel.
As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
I was reading on how to fix rototillers, and this jasper in Montana had created his own air conditioner, by pumping well water through a radiator he made. A radiator, like in your car or fridge, is just pipes with fins on it, and a fan blowing through it to cool it off.
He spent a great deal of time watering his garden with a sprinkler, and as water pumps are 1000 dollars to get burned out, and I dislike wasting water, I started thinking of a do it yourself water cooler which would not waste water, and would be economical to run, IR, even preppers who were off the grid could run this thing.
Let us not forget that solar power is a bitch in trying to keep up with electric stoves, freezers, fridges, furnaces and air conditioners. We all know the greatest cost in summer is that AC unit.
OK this is a diagram of what I will eventually have to build while waiting for rich people to pony up with the big donations as the money slips through their fingers.
We have an old cistern. Cisterns are concrete things, not very big really, and are filled with rainwater. They are underground, where the water is cold, so that is the source in this.
We put in a sump pump, small thing, runs cheap, takes little electricity, and they last. As the jasper was running a sprinkler, the little pissy drizzle going through his unit, would be the same as the sump pump flow.
I put a return line on it, so the water circulates. As not a great deal of water is moving around, I would conclude that the earth will cool the water faster than the blower would heat it up, after all, it is moving constantly and there is not like it is going to go from 48 degrees to 90 degrees by the time it gets out of the pipes.
The radiator would be the same aluminum fins from a junk yard, and this requires copper piping as plastic would insulate the water, in other words, there would be no cooling in the cold transfer.
The fan the jasper had was a regular fan taped to the radiator, and that would probably do it, but there are small electric motors which would work on a belt drive too, to a fan.
Now for the whiners who say, "I don't have me a cistern!"
Ok Nancy, keep your tampons dry.
They make these big plastic tanks now, and a junk yard would have ones which would work out. The expense would be digging a hole and throwing it in. Other than that, in the long run this water cooler air conditioner would run 3/4's cheaper than a standard AC unit. My Grampa's refrigeration unit for years was a small tank which came out of his pump jack, which then flowed out to water the cattle. On 100 degree days, I have never tasted anything so sweet and cold as watermelons coming out of that reservoir. It was not any different than a fridge.
That is about all the inventing I care to do right now. So that puts an end to this.
