As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
This all started out with the quarter sale at the Thrift.
See people in the Brier do not like exotic things or work. Work is quite exotic to them really so they do not like it.
That is how I often get buys as the old shrews in there hate work and price things that look like work cheap.
But no one bought this taco shell maker thing. It was brand new, a quarter and I will always invest a quarter into most things, as this looked like an adventure I could afford.
Unlike the 6 egg poacher I got for 3 dollars. Stainless steel, a real powerhouse, but I found out I dislike eggs over time if they do not have oil on them. My body likes oil.....does not like egg protein that much.
So we eat poached eggs every day, not fried, and it is I suppose better for us. Three bucks not wasted.
The taco thing bakery mould though appears to be an act of God.
First I got the taco bakery mould thing. Sat around a few months at Grandpa's place.
Then we got like 50 small corn shell tacos for 99 cents in the bargain bin.
Then we got in the same bin, some rice, bean thing, that looked like what a Mexican would eat.
Today I picked up some chicken breasts for 7 dollars, used two, and picked up 1 dollar a container, garlic, paprika and lemon pepper.
So I cut up the chicken, did the seasoning with sea salt, and baked it. It looked pretty in cubes.
Baked the taco shells too much, but browning them makes them taste better.
Lastly, TL in the microwave from hell, which is a microwave that needs some help to start in spinning the tray, it is blasting bits of rust off as wicked one never cleaned it, and the rice turned out pretty good for a 1.29 bag.
So assembled it all, and TL and I thought this was a pretty good meal. We have enough for two times in this, so it was cheap eating. TL was reading suggestions in you can use these taco things for desert, for chili, for salads and they have different uses, so I told TL that we would look for some larger flour tortillas and use them for those adventures.
I once saw someone have a bread bowl at Olive Garden, They could not eat it all. Looked like a waste and I never have been much on salads on my bread, as bread belongs in other places, as it seems sinful, but then that is Italian stuff and they never declared war on the Vatican with that anti Christ brewing around so, there you go.
I like quick and easy meals, which means I like to do cooking and have leftovers. As we eat at Grandpas a great deal as this is where the blog is worked out most days, having transportable food helps and this taco thing is a carry food which is easy to carry.
So again, there you go, not that this is a sin, but that this is a thing you might try for a quarter if God is good to you.
Tine to go as the cat just jumped up on my lap. 3rd day now after like all year. Have no idea what bad taste habits that cat has developed in wanting to be around me.
Nuff Said.
