Financial Access Layering

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

Two weeks ago I received in the mail a notice from Paypal that they were making available a debit card to businesses which use the site and whether I wanted it or not, it was coming, and I could tell them to not send it, but after discussing for a moment with TL about it,  I thought, "Why not".

I thought the card would come, but apparently plastic is in short supply  and the cards are manufactured on the International Space Station and due to Biden sanctions they are being delayed in a space embargo which will shoot them own by Star Wars. The card arrives in a few weeks in other words.

Like all of you, I have concerns about all of this great reset which is coming. Paul shared a link from Gayway where Klaus Schwab's head she bitch was saying this was all going digital in a few. So what we have here is a situation where our funds are locked in electronic accounts even if it is your local bank.

I have made no secret that I use Discover cards. I like the company and they have always been very good to me. I get cash back from using the cards, and as I never use the money I have around 300 bucks in there which is better than a bank debit card in which I get nothing. Access is always the point in all of this, and credit cards are not debit cards, and that is why I think this direct access to Paypal would suit a number of situations.

I ordered some ammo out of California in the last Obama shortage, and some crook there stole my number and started buying cell phones. It was caught and everything was shut down, but I simply do not use my credit cards at vendors if I can help it that I do not know. Yes I buy from seed companies and things like that where crooks are not stealing card numbers, but numbers of people (Not Harbor Freight) like Home Depot etc... have direct link now to Paypal and you can buy things that way, where your account is never accessed, except through Paypal, which is a very good security measure. That is why I use Paypal as my information is behind that wall and they have a good record with security as stolen card numbers is a problem too often now.

As the disclaimer, I do not own stock or get paid by Paypal. This is just a consumer thing, in something everyone should consider in, "What if the net goes down?" Yes credit cards and debits are part of the net, but banking is a different route and I doubt the big corporates are going to be shut down by the 1%. Which means Paypal would be functional. Yes we have prepared in some cash on hand, but I don't know how long things would go dark. It is also a matter of, "Gee I have money in my bank, but that branch is down.......so while I am attractive, my good looks are not going to get me a tank of gas". That is what this is about in my children and my brats. I'm not saying that Paypal is something you should rush out and get an account. I'm saying though that it would be prudent if you have more than two nickels to rub together to have some e payment options when things go south. The odds simply are that Wells Fargo might tank as the Mexicans use that for money laundering, and a big syndicate might be offline to put the scare into people to herd them, while a local bank might not be powerful enough to get access. The major platforms could all go down and they could steal our money like the Brits do Russian money, but something has to work, and the odds are something like Chase, Paypal and whatever is going to keep running as there will be a centralized herding process in wokeland.

As I said, I'm not vouching for this or telling you to do this, but am telling you to think about how you could get your bills paid and access to money when all money is now electronic and it is going to get worse in the Schwabinbank commerce. This just appeared in my sphere and it would be of benefit as a back up resource in my situation.

I'm not an ap person. I do not want things on my phone. I will not scan those codes for discounts. I still want physical things to hold onto to slow things down to make spending not so easy. That is why the work of getting funds into a Paypal account takes time. It will take time for me to haul a debit card out and consider spending money, so I do not spend money. That is a few layers and layers are barriers.

It looks like this new card is a "tap" card meaning you just tap the modem in the store and that activates everything. I like that in Discover as TL or I do not touch anything coof related. So some things I do prefer fast if it makes things safer.

This is something for you to think about in you have cash on hand. you have your cards, and probably your checks for your bank, but would another layer in the system be of benefit? I'm certain crypto will have some layering too for the people with uber coins in there to access, but most of that is going into direct central bank cards from what the she bitch was frumping around about.

Just trying to be helpful but the decision is yours.
